Arrived late due to hold-up on M5 but made welcome. Enjoyed a lovely meal in the bar, followed by a good night’s sleep in a comfy bed.

Always a really nice stay

I was staying as my wife was in hospital so my criteria for finding a place to stay were cheap, available and close to the hospital, the Silverton Inn was all these so I booked it. I'm really glad I did, admittedly I wasn't really in the mood for socialising but if I was, there would have been ample opportunity but I was feeling pretty insular and that was ok too, all the staff were friendly and helpful, the place was easy to find, the rooms had everything you need. I ended up staying 2 nights so had to book again which meant I stayed in a different room each time and although the 1st one was perfectly fine, the next one was even better. Equally spotless, equally well equipped. Not high end luxury, but nice, clean and comfy. I ate in the Inn both evenings and the food was fab as was the limited but delicious breakfast. There were cereals on offer as well as the cooked options so you're unlikely to go hungry unless you're super fussy. I got the impression that if you had a request they would do their best to make it happen. Well thought out, well kept, well run, simple done right. If I need to stay in the area again I won't bother looking for anywhere else.

Simple done really well in terms of facilities, room/en-suite, and pub-like dining breakfast area etc. Warm greeting, good food and nice friendly service. Just couldn't be faulted ✔️

This inn in the centre of the village has very comfortable rooms for an overnight stay. The staff are pleasant and they offer great value good quality dinner. Breakfast was also good. Very quiet for its location. Would recommend.

For the price I wasn’t expecting too much. But really nice atmosphere walking into the pub. Barman new my name to expect me, took an order for breakfast in the morning (which was great!) and the room was massive and comfy. Didn’t cost me to park either - would definitely stay again and hopefully get a beer too next time!

Lovely stay again as part of my business trip around Exeter and Devon. The room was really comfortable and quiet. The food in the bar was great. Parking is in a nearby free public car park so no problems there.

A hidden gem, beautiful room and spectacular food.

Great property with outstanding room.

My 3 hour journey took 8 hours, which made my arrival very late. I phoned on four occasions and was greeted with warmth and friendliness and told not to worry. Tracy was brilliant, she poured me a drink on arrival and offered me snacks. She then personally took me to my room and showed me around. She pre-ordered my breakfast ready for my early start. The place was spotless, the breakfast was amazing, the shower was warm and powerful - brilliant visit and I will definitely return.

We enjoyed a large double room at the top of the building. The hotel was clean and seemed relatively recently decorated throughout. Service was excellent and the evening meal menu had plenty of variety at reasonable prices; the steak and ale pie is highly recommended as are the cooked breakfasts.

Enjoyed spacious room 6 but a trek up to the commically small ensuite past a lovely view over the town. Nice pub to eat and drink in.

This was a great find. Lovely inn, warm welcome and a super comfy bed. Great amenities- WiFi, TV, desk, clean bathroom and nice linens. It was also quiet and restful at night. Evening meal and breakfast were both delicious ( and I’m a bit of a foodie) and service with a genuine smile. Thank you, I’ll be back.
