The room was clean and fully equipped. Across from the hotel is a convenience store. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. On the day we stayed, it was raining, but the hotel provided free umbrellas for us to borrow. I was very impressed.

The staff is really nice, but the water bit at the toilet is so small, so it's hard to take a shower and need to take a long time. But overall is excellent.

This hotel is very close to the bus station but quite far from the train station. The nearest bus station is Ryukoku-Daigaku Mae (Bus no. 5 from Kyoto Station) and the nearest train station is Ryukokudai Mae-fukakusa (Keihan Main Line). You can also get off at Inari Station (Nara Line) but it takes about 15-20 minutes to reach this hotel.

It might look old from the outside but the room was clean, neat, very comfortable, and modern. It was perfect for solo traveler. The service was excellent, one of the male receptionist helped me in reserving Takkyubin (luggage delivery service) even though we communicated through translator apps. The location was surrounded by bakery (Marumo, Suzu-Pan), Family Mart right across the hotel, there’s also Doutor and Starbucks just walk on foot. But it was quite far, 15 minutes walk to Inari Station. I was fooled by the map.

The location is close to Fushimi Inari, although the area is rather quiet and far from Kyoto Station

I'll say perfect! Location is good. It is not far from bus stop, subway station, and Fushimi Inari Taisha. The room is clean and nice. Small but very cozy. There is a lovely bakery shop beside the hotel. And the most important one is the hotel receptionist was really nice. I would stay there if I went to Kyoto again. Recommended hotel.
