Easy parking Grumpy staff on front desk Room is tired and carpet needs to be cleaned, horrible bed linen, blocked shower drain filled up ever time we showered.

I booked this hotel at the last minute and was extremely pleased with my choice. The hotel lobby was large, clean, and inviting, and the receptionist was friendly and very helpful. Our room was large and clean, and the bathroom sparkled. The accommodation was excellent! The downside however was the restaurant. Our dinners were expensive, bland, and the choices were limited at the buffet counter. The service was good, which helped mitigate an otherwise negative experience. I highly recommend this hotel, but would suggest dining elsewhere.

We needed a one night stop to see a concert, the room was great value, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation and the friendly welcome from the staff.

The location is awful on a commercial estate and a long way from the attractions. The decking around the tiny pool was dangerous and the restaurant closed on the first evening with other restaurants far away. We were not told about this closure until after we had paid. The hotel in our view is misdescribed and a partial refund should be forthcoming

The stag was wonderful, the room was very nice, the food was alright, though not the best. The location was not as close to city center that I thought

Very good overall but very hot in the room making sleep difficult, air con only on hot , no cooling, even with the window open still too hot, duvet very heavy . Restaurant closed

Staff helpful, meals reasonable,very clean and tidy. Location in business park not the best but Aldi and Lidl handy. Some 40 mins walk to centre. Ok if you have a car but taxis expensive and buses not reliable.

In a great place to go visit the medieval castle. Room was comfortable & breakfast was lovely. There’s a pool there too but bit too cold for me, I’m a whimp, but husband had a swim. Would stay there again.

Beer was a little expensive but had a nice pool and good staff that were friendly and attentive

Clean, comfortable, extremely friendly staff. It does the job. Good value for the price.

Really disappointed by the “room” that doesn’t have one inch to spare, I was fooled by the “pets welcome “ only to be charged over $10 per dog, TV was not working at all AND finally , the WORST part the shower and its door was so badly conceived that you could not get in the shower unless you were excessively skinny. I managed to fax myself but my sister couldn’t! No financial gesture/ compensation/exchange or possibility to take a shower was offered. The price/value is quite terrible overall.

not working conditioner in the room. No transport to city centre. Hotel is ok. Didn't like continental breakfast.
