This resort stay was amazing and genuinely beyond my expectations. The jungle atmosphere is the whole experience—peaceful, romantic, and nearly effortless from check-in to checkout. If you’re expecting a brand-new, ultra-modern “2025-built” 5-star resort, you’re missing the point of staying within about 1,000 feet of Chichén Itzá and being immersed in nature. The entire site was very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The staff were nothing but welcoming—friendly and they sparked conversations in a natural way without ever being obtrusive. Service felt easy and relaxed, which is exactly what we wanted. The food was right in line with what we hoped for—solid 4–5 star quality. We stayed in a lodge with a single bed, and the air conditioning was more than adequate (honestly, it was set too cold when we arrived—nice problem to have). No real need for an alarm clock if you sleep with the windows open—the natural sounds are the perfect wake-up call. We visited at the end of February and avoided crowds completely—only about 4–5 cars in the parking lot. It’s far enough from the hustle and bustle of Cancun to truly unwind. I would return without a doubt, and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic stay in a unique jungle setting near Chichén Itzá.

Property is large with plenty of natural space. They are renovating the buildings with 14 of the 36 units completed.

Staying at The Lodge at Chichen Itza was such a unique and memorable experience. It feels surreal to be so close to the ruins, surrounded by history and completely immersed in nature — you really feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, with a classic hacienda style and tons of lush plants everywhere you look. Even though the property is going through some updates, it didn’t take away from our stay at all — it actually feels like the place is growing and coming back to life. The pool area is gorgeous and perfect for cooling off after exploring. The staff was incredible — so friendly and welcoming, they really make you feel like family. They were always happy to chat, help with anything we needed, and even gave great tips on places to visit nearby. The food was a highlight too — fresh, balanced, and tasty any time of day. The drinks were great (and well-priced!), and the desserts, especially the marquesitas, were so good. Our room had a rustic charm, everything worked well, and it was spotlessly clean. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Between the warm hospitality, beautiful setting, and the once-in-a-lifetime experience of staying right next to Chichen Itza, this place is truly special. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to combine history, culture, and a jungle escape.

Location is great, air conditioner was a bit of a challenge to get it to the right temperature. The bathroom was outdated

Bungalows, palapa roofs, food, gardens, pool, view of the Mayan observatory, sunshine, warmth. What’s not to like.

This is the only place to stay for a visit to Chichen Itza. They have a five minute shuttle to the archaeological site and will even sell you a ticket before you go so you don’t have to wait in line. Plus it’s a really nice Hacienda style hotel

It's a beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay. For the price, it would be nice to have better amenities in the rooms, and overall the service was very friendly but oddly sparse. That said, we'd recommend it.

Eco resort next to Chichén itza. Best place to stay in town. Not much else around.

There is no internet or TV in the rooms and this is told to you at check in with no sympathy or empathy. Alfonso and Alex in the restaurant were amazing, and so was Sergio the bellman. Nice place to stay when you visit Chichen Itza but be prepared to DISCONNECT. The staff have daily meetings in the middle of the reception area, which is awkward for guests. They should find another place...

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. At best a 2 star. Everything is old, in bad shape and outdated from the 90s. Way overpriced for the service

The Lodge was an absolute find! We found the staff very friendly, the restaurant very good, and the room very clean. The property was gorgeous. We could tell the hotel was just reopening post Covid, but we were so pleased we extended 2 nights. You can see parts of Chichen Itza from the lobby. We would come back

This is an amazing property located in the jungle, right next to Chichen Itza. We stayed in a traditional bungalow. The property is beautiful and well maintained, the room was clean & the staff was friendly & accommodating. Property is gated so also felt safe. Only con is that you can only acces the WiFi in the main lodge (not a problem for me, but the kids were bummed about it). I hired a private guide for Chichen Itza through the hotel and he was very good. I would highly recommend staying here!
