The stay was marred by the room air conditioning not working properly and the room being too hot , and a check in experience that was the worst I had ever experienced. There was a mix up between the hotel and Hotel.com over payment and the hotel asked me to pay again! I supplied them, as asked with the receipt from hotel.com and my bank statement showing the payment to Hotel.com. But 4 hours later they had not been in contact to say it had been resolved so I contacted Hotel.com on the app and they were brilliant and managed to clear it up with the hotel after my enquiry was escalated when the hotel didn’t answer the phone. I tried to contact reception myself and the phone rang without being answered for 5 mins. On going down to reception they apologised and said they were busy. The agent for hotel.com phoned me to confirm all had been resolved, great service! The Kimpton were all smiles and said sorry but did nothing for 4 hours , poor service from a supposedly top Glasgow hotel. The spa was lovely and service at the bar and breakfast slightly made up for the terrible experience.
