Stayed in a double room which was located on the first floor with a view of the pool. Good size room however the bathroom was a squeeze to use and no air conditioning made it a bit uncomfortable. Staff were very nice and friendly explaining everything on check in and giving details of the town on a map. Didn't use the pool but it was a lot smaller than the photos. Good location to explore the town and a nice bar over the road. Breakfast was satisfactory with a good choice.

Not recommended - the pillows and all bed smells humidity, someone brought another person in the shared room in his bed and made “noise” at night. Reception staff mostly okay, but didn’t care much. No apologies as if it’s all normal there

Facilities are poor, bad air condition in the rooms, no wifi signal in the rooms, no towels, moldy smell….

Very cute and cozy, like a summer house. Beautiful. Must live reggae as it plays all the time during the daytime.

Staying at Che Lagarto in Paraty is a good deal. People are super welcoming and it's near from the Historic Centre and the Beach.

Very clean modern hostel. The single room felt more like a standard to good hotel room! Very well put together, helpful staff and great location. Would recommend!

Great staff, nice atmosphere near the bar where it was easy to meet people as a solo traveller and they had great burgers as an option for dinner with live music each night. Overall, a wonderful place to stay

The location is great and the place overall is really nice. A room smelled really bad from the sewage coming from the bathroom. It was like we were in a constant portopotty

This hostel was absolutely perfect. Extremely friendly staff, great location, very reasonably priced, great optional meals, and beautiful ambiance. Definitely recommend for 20-30 somethings looking for a friendly place close to the old part of the city and beaches.

This is a very fun hostel to hang out in - the layout of the facility, courtyard and bar really make it inviting for guests to congregate and socialize - it was a really happening scene each night. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very "rustic", but cleaned very well every day and everything works. There was even a mini-fridge in the room, which I wasn't expecting. The hostel puts on a themed dinner each night, at a very reasonable cost that usually includes a Caipirinha (or two!). They also organize daily tours and boat trips. Definitely a cut above for a hostel!

Lugar super bem localizado. Conheci várias pessoas legais e ótimo atendimento. O problema é o quarto misto compartilhado, é todo fechado, banheiro bem pequeno e não é confortável.

O quarto ficava em cima do bar do Hostel, que teve muito barulho e gritaria até tarde

O atendimento foi excelente, desde os rapazes da recepção à moça que fica responsável pelo café da manhã. Só pela simpatia deles, nos ganharam. Além do mais, deixaram a gente tomar um banho (voltando da praia e antes de seguirmos viagem) mesmo após nosso check out.

It's always great to meet other travelers. That's why I enjoy staying in hostels. I did have my own double room with private bathroom, but I was able to keep items in a shared refrigerator and later store my bags. The only negative was the fact that one of the two rooms I reserved smelled moldy. The front desk even directed me to a parking lot for my car.
