Palacio de Oquendo means Oquendo's palace--enough said--it is a high-end property. Check-in was flawless. Our room was a short stairway up; they offered to carry our bags to our room. We did not experience the breakfast buffet but it looked amazing. Our room was spacious, very clean, and well-appointed; bathroom was amazing. Top-notch all the way. Hotel is located a few steps from the main town plaza. Hotel bar was really nice--we saw Spain's FIFA 2026 semi-final game there. Cáceres is a small town but rich in history--definitely recommended for a short stay.

If you are driving a car do not stay here. Parking is worse than horrible. Worse than horrible. Did I mention don't drive your car to this Hotel? Car access is nearly impossible. Parking is remote, very difficult to find and access. If you are not driving then this hotel is very okay. A three star quality. Most rooms do not have a view. Furnishings are outdated. The painted brown walls of the room made for a depressing environment. The Air-conditioning isn't very cool. The hotel staff is fine, generally helpful. Would not stay here again.

Nice enough but rooms were cramped and need an upgrade; bedding has also seen better days. However, shower and in-room tea/coffee were excellent. Helpful and friendly front desk staff — especially the gentleman who checked us out — but restaurant staff could be more efficient and professional. Vegan options would be nice too.

Booked a superior room, were greeted by an unwelcoming receptionist, who demanded our passports without a hint of a smile and told us we should have informed them we’ve got a dog( cockapoo)?¿ we’re given a room outlooking a busy square with restaurants, traffic. Beautiful medieval age building, very well preserved and updated rooms and bathrooms. The staff was awesome. Breakfast was a delight!!!

The Hotel looks really nice but !!!! It’s in an ancient part of town with very narrow streets and we were in our Car. There is no parking at the hotel and the whole of the Historic area is covered with cameras which are monitored by the police ! Don’t take a car to this Hotel.

Beautiful, well maintained hotel with amazing linens, spacious rooms , and helpful staff. The visit to the very close medieval town was well worth at least a half day or more.
