I stopped in Masseret at random, as I was driving down to Occitanie. I arrived late, and during the Covid pandemic, and the receptionist offered me a reasonably priced evening meal in my room, which was delicious. The room itself was comfortable and pleasant, with an excellent view of the tower across the street. A very pleasant experience over-all. If I had one small complaint it was that the double bed was made up of two single mattresses, so it had a mildly uncomfortable ridge down the middle.

The Hotel was in a lovely small village in a really scenic area, the staff were friendly and obliging and overall the hotel was very good. The room was a little dated and the bathroom was a little dated and in need of refreshing.

Nice place and friendly reception. Enjoyed the Belgian beer in the bar. Very easy to get to from the motorway and petrol station nearby also. Bed comfortable and nice shower/bathroom facilities.

Easier to find hotel from the motorway, with plentiful parking. Room was clean and ready. Food was superb, with a good local white wine. Staff were friendly and helpful. No negative features

A good place to stop before heading towards the Spanish border. The room did not warrant the price paid. The hotel was very welcoming and the staff were all very kind and helpful. The food was delicious.

Lovely hotel in a great location just off the motorway. Staff very helpful but with not much English but we managed ok. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant. An excellent choice to stop over here.

I'd eaten here a few times but never stayed. In the time since I was last here the hotel has had a considerable upgrade, and the room we were given was beautifully designed, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Food was good - dinner and breakfast. Friendly staff, excellent and modestly priced wine list. Thank you.

The terrific staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. As a single traveller I was treated exceptionally well. The restaurant is superb! I would highly recommend this gorgeous boutique hotel .

The hotel was great, the staff seemed friendly. Our only gripe was that the restaurant which looked great for adults didn't really cater for children - i.e the children's menu was purely Omelette and Chips so we had to find an alternative restaurant - which we did and it was fantastic (in Meuzac) called Auberge L'etang - great food and good atmosphere. We had no hot water in the morning due to an issue with the boiler (we think) but no apology. Shame as the hotel and location were excellent otherwise and a great stop off before heading south.

Hotel located on a hill top next to an historic tower. Views all around are terrific. Small township has a self walking tour with sign-posted guides showing photos of the town from last century, well worth the walk. Hotel staff are friendly and speak English. Room was usual French size, clean and comfortable. Meals in the Hotel restaurant were delicious and the wait staff, Josie and Jeremy, were most attentive and professional. Would definitely stay again.

Brilliant find.... Fabulous location, fairy-tale tower, amazing views, comfortable, traditional, atmospheric hotel and room, and rolling countryside well worth exploring as a walking holiday. Short drive to a lake with beach and cafe. Far from the crowds but easy detour off the autoroute. Friendly reception, good value breakfast. Quiet little village, but has supermarket for picnic provisions. Will definitely return for longer.

We stopped at this hotel for one night in November 2012 to break up a long journey from Dunkerque to South-West France. It was far better than we had anticipated, especially at this price point. Our room (a standard one) was spotlessly clean and perfectly adequate - much better than the motel rooms with the big chains at similar prices. If we had been staying a few nights, then we would have chosen a superior room. The view from the window included the beautiful tower, illuminated at night. Very picturesque, even romantic! Service in the hotel is very good - don't hesitate to ring for someone to come to the desk. The restaurant is definitely a cut above the above the average, and with three different set menus as well as à la carte. We loved our meal, and thought the prices were very reasonable. We have paid more for mass-produced industrial dishes, whereas here they were beautifully prepared from local produce and cuts of meat. Service in the restaurant was correct without being over formal. Breakfast was what you would expect, but included viennoiseries, and that justifies it being somewhat dearer than in the cheaper motel chains. To sum up, we had an excellent one-night stay and would certainly book the hotel again, either as a one-night stopover or for a short break in a picturesque area.
