The hotel has a great location right across from the train station and the cable car. The building is showing its age a bit, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful. All in all, we had a great stay there.

Probably the best deal in Bad Gastein. Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, in a great location right next to the train station, ski lift and supermarket.

Price was right to allow me to go to bad gastein, everything else was double or three times price.

The front desk waited for us until we arrived at 8:00 pm which was very nice of them and we had 2 rooms close to each other. There were a few restaurants and many sports shops a walking distance from the hotel. When we arrived to the second floor with the elevator, we found out that we have another 6-7 stairs to climb with the language to get to the rooms…. The bathroom in one of the rooms was tiny and there was not any body soap or shampoo in both rooms. The worst part was that every 15 minutes a train passed, literally in front of the hotel (200 yard/ meter). We wanted to sleep with the balcony door open because it was hot and there was no A/C, but it was impossible, due to the noise.

Budget stay in Austria. Adequate but simple. Only stayed 1 night. Food in restaurant was ok and service there cheerful. They only take cash though. No card payment facilities.

a basic and functional accommodation - an ideal solution if you want a place to sleep not to socialize, great location, good service, very clean! near the train station, near a beautiful spa! breakfast is a simple buffet not much choice but enough for a filling breakfast. The coffee is horrendous though and the strange orange drink seems to taste more of chemical flavouring than oranges. what I don't understand is why forks seems to be deemed an unnecessary breakfast tool as there are no forks available on principle - this seems to be very strange! would stay there again definitely but probably would skip the breakfast.

If you are not too picky, I'd say it is comfortable enough and very central aka close to the slopes. Service was super helpful and very nice - breakfast was good. Overall - would visit again :)

The hotel is located in a very good place.Opposite the railway station and the ski slope,next to the termal springs.the room and bathroom are clean,and from the balcony is a beautiful view of the mountains.

There was a man on reception. And he is very rude.

Despite this being titled a "youth hotel", the pictures on the site led me to believe this hotel would be nicer than a hostel -- not really so. I would caution that the rooms likely vary, as mine did not look like the pictures (no bath tub, only one window, etc.) The room was very basic -- fine given the low cost, but not very comfortable (soft bed, slow wifi, thin walls/loud neighbours). Nicely located right beside the train station and supermarket, though. My main complaint is that even though I stayed in a double room by myself, the rate included a charge for two breakfasts and the hotel refused to refund it.

Myself and my wife were lucky enough to get a room at the front of the hotel with a balcony which gave fabulous views. Don't be put off by the "youth" part of the hotel name as it's definitely not a hostel or solely for young backpackers. We are a middle aged couple and found the hotel to be first class in every department, the breakfast was excellent

Last second booking, surprised to have availability next to the lift at such a reasonable rate. There are some bunk rooms available but the place feels like a hotel, not a hostel. The double room was clean and spacious, with a balcony and a table. The beds were clean, if soft. You will hear the train going by, but the location is ideal -- next to the lift and the thermal spa, as well as a great Eurospar. This is a 3-star but hotel but it's solid and an outstanding value for the location.

Wifi fungerade inte vilket var frustrerande när vi skulle boka vidare tåg och hotell. Kvinnan som checkade in oss på kvällen var fantastisk!! Hon hjälpte oss jättemycket med vår kommande resa!!

Schönes Hotel. Zentrum ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Super Frühstück. Nettes Personal.

Hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale, god størrelse på enkeltrom. Badet hadde høyere standard enn selve rommet som oppleves som noe utdatert. Absolutt verdt prisen for sentralt opphold i Bad Gastein.

Fantastiska tjejer i receptionen och frukosten som var så hjälpsamma. Fantastiskt läge nära backen!!
