Very friendly staff, clean rooms, perfect location

What a beautiful hotel, our room (12) was lovely, with a huge bed (bigger than a king), fresh decor, and a brand new bathroom. The view from the small roof terrace is also one worth taking in, with the old city laid out right before your eyes. The location of the Hotel du Pont Vieux is excellent, on a pretty street, lined with cafes and restaurants, that is right in between the medieval city and The Bastide St-Louis. It made everything so easily accessible. It even had a little shop selling local food and wine. The staff were also extremely friendly and very helpful. Thank you for a fabulous stay, a highly recommended spot ❤️

The family room was perfect for the 4 of us. The hotel is well placed and the terrace has a nice view of Carcassonne. The staff was friendly and polite.

Simple place

Carcassonne is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. The hotel was in a great location, room was excellent. Would strongly recommend.

Situated very close to entrances to the Cité. Several dining options within 1 block. Access to a laundromat nearby. Very comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

Nice older hotel, but all modern features in room, in excellent location. About a 10 minute walk to amazing fortress/castle and same to the old part of town. Hotel had a small store attached, where you can buy great wine at an excellent price. They also had a great selection of cheeses and bread, plus other nice foods/snacks. Also, on the third floor they had a nice small terrace area to sit and drink wine, enjoy your bread and cheese and get an amazing view of the magnificent castle/fortress. They also had a nice patio garden area, but we didn’t avail ourselves of this. Lastly, the staff were friendly and the owners were on site all the time. They were very kind and helpful to us as we had to stay an extra night. Would thoroughly recommend this outstanding hotel, with extremely kind and friendly owners.

Great location minutes away from medieval city. Staff were friendly and helpful and they put on a good continental breakfast spread (simple but everything was high quality, and generally locally or regionally made). Room was clean and everything functioned well, window had a nice view of the castle and city walls. However the furnishings weren't the nicest, the colour choice in the room was almost overwhelming, and the beds were too small for me (I'm tall).

could easily recommend Hotel du Pont Vieux. Airport bus drops just 10min walk over the old bridge, lovely hotel in a street of restaurants leading to castle. Friendly staff, great room with king size bed and modern bathroom, enjoyed listening to sounds of people in street having their meals (shutters provide darkness and quiet if needed). Great terrace views of castle from top floor, perfect for evening drinks. Castle just 10mins walk. Great breakfast buffet, thanks everyone at HdPV 😁

This little place is just a few minutes walk to the old city, and there are good dining options on the street. The staff is very helpful, carried my very heavy suitcase upstairs (no elevator), and there is a wine/cheese shop connected to the lobby with nice stuff. Negatives - street is closed to traffic during the day, so unless you pay for the garage parking (which we did) you will have to leave your car a few blocks away.

Lovely hotel just by the walls

The staff at this hotel were excellent! You can pay to park in a secure garage which was great! The view from the top terrace was the best we had!
