I did a last minute booking as I was kicked out from the other inn having they over sold their rooms. Since the late booking, it hasn’t gone through the system, there was a trouble in checking in. Luckily, a male college join in later and helped me to sort out the issue and finally I got a room to stay!

Booked Super 8 as I was travelling over to work in the area. Nice clean room, super comfy bed, warm powerful shower and a Tv you can cast Netflix/prime etc to….what more do you need. As it’s a motorway services understandably it’s not got much round it. But it was nice and quiet in the rooms with no noise from the motorway. I didn’t eat in but the pizzas look good and there is a breakfast option. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the place was clean and tidy. Obviously there is ample parking and a WHSmiths and McDonald’s next door if needed. Would definitely recommend. I stayed for four nights and was more than happy

Loved the additional room that was attached to our room so our daughter had her own space. Rooms very spacious and clean, beds comfy. Continental breakfast good.

A great value hotel. Great location just off the A1 aprox 4 miles into Durham. Excellent rooms decorated beautifully, spotlessly clean. Great to have air con & a plug socket either side of the bed. Staff friendly and helpful

It was very comfortable me and my 2 teenage sons who made the most of the few wooden games in the communal area. Very easy to access once i had the key app

Though location is on Services but definitely more than a a Services hotel and more than 2 state as rated. Spacious n clean room and Bathroom with air on / central heating. Lockbox didn’t work for self check but was checked in with standard key card quote promptly. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room was very clean and comfortable, staff were super friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. I was able to charge my car overnight with a full charge for £15.00. There was an initial issue finding our booking so we had to wait a little while to check in. There is custom firmware on the TV so if you want to stream from any apps bring a fire stick or something similar. Really rate this hotel will definitely stay here again.

Arrived at the hotel after driving from Scotland prior to booking asked for two rooms on the ground floor as we are both registered disabled. We were informed by the receptionist on duty that both rooms were on the first floor. After further questioning the receptionist on duty and made that she did not read the notes and no one from super eight will take responsibility for this would not recommend. The booking was made through Hotels.Com. I did receive an email from Expedia but multi booking was made through Hotels.Com. I have more telephone contact details prior to arrival but no one phoned to inform me of the situation. The booking was made weeks in advance and then said that you booked a compact room and if you wanted a room on the ground floor this was extra. This is total discrimination for disabled people with limited mobility, especially a lady of 92. We then drove from the hotel on the A1M all the way back to Eastleigh a grand total of 305 miles.

Absolutely brilliant value for money. The design of the rooms are so aesthetic for the price. I felt like I was in a really expensive hotel. The beds, pillows and duvets were very comfortable. The place was spotlessly clean. The check in process using an app as your door key meant I could walk straight into the hotel with no waiting around to check in. Plenty of plug sockets and USB ports. Hair dryer in the room. My only negative comment is that it was soo cold even with the heating set at the hottest temperature. The aircon/heating unit was locked at 24 degrees at the highest temp but the room didn’t actually reach above 18 degrees despite the heat being on all night. I could also hear people in neighbouring rooms talking occasionally but it was only briefly and didn’t cause too much disturbance.

Had a lovely comfortable stay. Staff were lovely and helped us in all ways. Beds really comfortable and shower great. Better than any other chain hotel and would definitely stay again.

Amazing for money. Shops close by and an outlet. Food was amazing. Shame the staff don’t go above and beyond to help open the door when they see you struggling with a kid and bags ( this happened on more than once) apart from that 5/5!!!

Great hotel, clean and helpful enough staff. The only complaint is the really loud fan in the bathroom that wouldn't shut off and kept the kids up!
