This hotel became my favorite hotel recently when I needed to stay in Izmir for business and pleasure. Don’t spend fortune on the other hotel options.

One of the best things about this hotel is the generous room size. For a small extra fee, we were upgraded to a room at the front of the building with a balcony that overlooked a park-like area across the road, instead of another building. We were just a few blocks from the ocean and decent restaurants. Personally, I liked the older-style furnishings (and very comfy bed!) but the bathroom could do with a refresh. However, everything worked and that's ultimately what you want in a bathroom! Excellent soundproofing. We were just above the lobby but didn't hear anything. Service was good and most reception staff seemed to have an understanding of English, especially if you spoke slowly and clearly. Meal tip: breakfast is NOT included and is 10 euros. Save your $$ and have a perfectly fine breakfast for 10 Turkish lira just a couple of blocks away. Photo is the view of the room.

I decided to come back and there was a great improvement in room quality...especially with the updated the bathrooms. This is one of the oldest hotels with very nice staff and rooms with wonderful, spacious balconies!

You couldn't ask for more everything about the hotel was perfect from book in to book out.

The pathroom seems old , limited kinds for breakfast , the room is big enough , the stuff was very good .

situated conviniently near all major sites, this comfy hotel offers all necessay amenities. only complaint was cigarette smell in the non smokings

We stayed 2 nights and we like it. It is a small hotel but cozy, staff helpful and nice. The hotel is 5 - 10 minutes walk to the beach boulevard, clock tower, republic square and marina where you have varieties of restaurants and shops. I recommend it.
