Overall a well located hotel in Calvi. Staff extremely helpful and nice.

Nice and central and just what I needed after completing the GR20.

Let us be honest you cannot find a hotel in central Calvi for this price. Well, situated in the middle of everything close to the beach. The hotel, though is really rundown. The walls need a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, some proof rooms. And the cleaning wasn’t done well. You cannot use the air conditioner because of all the dust you can see in it. Not healthy. Service was friendly. But again, for the price, you cannot complain.

This hotel is located in the perfect place for so many of the restaurants and bars. It’s very close to some of the attractions of Calvi also. Even better if you do not have a car with you as parking is complicated.

Fantastic location in a beautiful city. The hotel is a little run down and could certainly improve, but it was very good value for money, with excellent service on human level from the quirky General Manager.

Upon arrival (with 2 giant luggage bags) young receptionist in glasses introduction was, “Do you need to use our bathroom?” No, I just spent about $500 for a room here.... otherwise breakfast was delightful with a great view, room service was good and location was great.

Great location in the city center, just a block away from the harbor and all the restaurants, bar and stores. The beach and the médiéval part of the city are also walking distance. The reception manager was super nice however the receptionist that checked us out was not professional and rude. The view from the rooftop is great.

Check in with the manager Nathalie was great. She was very kind, welcoming, and so helpful. I arrived early in the morning and was upgraded to a large room with a balcony, which was nice bc I spent three days getting to Calvi. The hotel is very safe and the restaurant offers a stunning view of the sea, while the kitchen staff were professional. I didn't actually have breakfast but had a snafu on arrival that required a visit to the dining room, which is really quite beautiful. I would imagine waking up to dine there on a sunny day to be a nice way to start the day in this beautiful city. The location can NOT be beat: mere steps from the station, the citadel, the port...you cannot go wrong.

Great location just a few minutes walk from the citadel and the harbour. Large nice room, very good value for money. No parking (but cheap parking around the corner). Wifi ok but slow.

Clean, but felt like I was in 1960s Italian film set possibly a Visconti film. No bad thing.

It was inexpensive. We'd paid for a room with a balcony. There was no balcony. We were told, "You'll like the room we gave you." The Grand Hotel must have been very GRAND in the 1930's, judging by its staircase, dining room on the ground floor and the breakfast room on the 5th. Unfortunately, it has been allowed to age. The rooms had been "remodeled" but with cheap workmanship in the closets, the bathrooms, etc. Basically, it is old and noisy.

clean rooms, good sized rooms, overall satisfactory close to many good eating places. could have had tea / coffee kettles in the room though.
