Easy check in at the bar and then we’re shown to our room. Room was clean and nicely furnished with a well designed, modern en-suite. A really good base for our weekend celebrating a wedding in Southbourne.

Clean. Comfortable and the service and staff are amazing

The hotel had excellent staff, great food and good rooms. The main problem is the noise! All that is happening in their restobar can be heard from our room. And worse, the band played directly below us.

We had a lovely lunch at the bar when we arrived. The lovely young man checked us in to the hotel and showed us to the family room. This was really nice as there were two rooms. One with a double bed and the other two singles. The bathroom was very spacious. So clean. Lots of towels. Also there was a kettle in each room. With plenty of items. Bottles of water in each room. Our stay was very comfortable. We were given keys for the front door as we were out late.

Great accommodation. We attended victorious festival in Portsmouth, was easy to reach the train station and the staff were great to get our room ready early so we could get to the festival asap!

Very comfortable room with a mini fridge and a huge king sized bed. The bathroom was beautiful with a bath and separate shower. The room was very clean. Fantastic parking in the hotel car park for guests. There was no mirror in the bedroom which made it difficult to blow dry hair. There was also an outside motor possibly arefrigerator outside the property which was quite noisy switching on and off throughout the night.

Great staff and a very warm welcome

The room was a good size with usual tea/coffee facilities along woth bottled water and a mini fridge. Very clean except for a few cobwebs in the window. The beds were comfotable and the room was quiet. We had a drink in the garden at the back which was a very good size with plenty of shade. Free parking too. Will definitely book again.

Comfortable stay. Have been before and knew what to expect. Friendly and efficient staff; Good facilities in room and nice pub with lovely courtyard. On site parking a bonus. Only criticism is the slamming of doors - can they be on a lighter spring? No (full length) mirror in bedroom

Excellent as always.

Our only complaint was that its summer and the duvet was at least 15 tog. We are not people to throw things on the floor so a massive duvet wedged between is was hot and uncomfortable .

The staff are very friendly and welcoming! The food was ok but pricey for what you get. The stairs up to the room is one big safety hazard there was a few times we nearly ended up falling. One of the rails on the stairs is loose and likely to come off.

Despite being extremely busy at the bar, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room at the top of the building was very clean and cosy with a good shower in the ensuite bathroom. There's onsite parking which was a big bonus. It was quite noisy outside in the street but it was a Saturday night in the centre of town so to be expected! Would definitely recommend.

The property is a very good listed building

Lovely hotel in the middle of Emsworth so convenient for restaurants and bars. Staff were helpful and polite. Nothing to complain about. Would stop here again.

Rooms were more spacious than I expected, staff were great

Evie checked us in she was friendly and efficient telling us which bars had music and to what time when we mentioned we were out for the night. The room was really well laid out and had everything I needed.would recommend it.
