Comfortable and convenient for North Yorkshire exploring. Bedroom modern although bathroom needs a bit of a refresh. Highlight was dinner. Super quality food and reasonably priced. Decent wine list. A little gem.

On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly staff member who check us in, showed us to our room and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. The room was lovely, well equipped and clean, we ate evening meals in the restaurant on two night, the menu had plenty of choice, the staff were all very good with nothing being too much trouble, not only was the service very efficient the staff made you feel welcome. We also ate in the restaurant for three breakfasts and the service, food quality, staff friendliness and efficiency was excellent. Throughout the day the hotel was busy and welcoming, but they always had enough staff to cater for the demand.

A splendid hotel, very comfortable and made extremely welcome. The room was fantastic and the shower very good. Although we already had plans for our evening meal elsewhere, we did have a lovely breakfast 😋

Decent hotel, however very dated

Lovely, friendly hotel in Easingwold. Very professional and accomodating staff. Great restaurant with good menu and plenty of breakfast choices. In easy reach of park and ride into York.

Although I arrived late in the evening I had a warm welcome and check in. Great Yorkshire hospitality at its best, My room was very spacious for the night, a fantastic breakfast cooked to order the following morning. All the staff were both professional and courteous in their duties. A refreshing change from the usual chain hotels or city hotels. Highly recommend this place, and Easingwold is a beautiful small town.

We booked a last minute stay over in this hotel and it was a great place to stay. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the room was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful olde English pub with great atmosphere, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. We had a dog friendly room at the back of the property, easy walking to local park. Excellent breakfast and evening meal the best vegetarian I’ve had ad in years.

What an amazing hotel/ pub / restaurant, The George will certainly be somewhere that sticks in our mind. Service, food quality and room were all top notch!!

The hotel was really nice, clean and comfortable. The only thing we found was the restaurant was very over priced and had very limited selection of food. The staff were very friendly and did go out of their way to accommodate our food needs though.

Lovely king sized room with en-suite. Good to have a later check out at 11am. Good choice of breakfast.

After a bit of a shaky start, which, to be fair was outside the staff's control, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The George. We were staying there in order to check its potential as guest accommodation for guests attending our daughter's wedding in 2026. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts and evening meals were delicious.
