The hotel room was a little worse for wear because of old marks on the walls and below the windows which clearly could have been cleaned.
On the second day, we came back to a room that had not been cleaned thoroughly. The dirty water glasses were still in the room, the floors had not been vacuumed.
On the final night, we arrived back just before midnight from a day out touring, only to find the room had not been cleaned at all! We reported this to the front desk. They suggested we opted for an ‘green option’ which gave us €10 voucher. We said this was not the case at all. The manager said there must have been some mistake and then as compensation doubled the voucher.
Then, all they would offer was clean towels (we had left the used towels on the shower floor to be replaced) and a change of cups. We were too exhausted so opted to sleep on it and resolve in the morning.
