Free kayak, lake view and included breakfast were all great. SO many stairs though, it was really difficult with bags. I didn’t have electricity for 2/4 days though because of a local electricity outage which was difficult. I would stay again.

We were quite pleased to have found this eco hotel. It is basic but comfortable, quiet (except for the birds!) and clean. You can tell there is pride in the property. The staff are lovely and helpful (in Spanish mostly). If you ask, they will call a ferry for you to the private dock. The Mayan sauna and jacuzzi are a neat touch but you have to make a reservation and pay more to access. Kayaks are free to use (but go in the morning before the wind picks up). There is no hot water and beware the many stairs to get to your room. Breakfast was included and yummy.

Excelente atención, el lugar es muy relajante, limpio, tiene su propio muelle lo que facilita el acceso al hotel, las visitas a otros pueblos y la salida. Recomiendo el masaje, súper bueno.

Highly recommend staying here in San Juan! It's a bit off the beaten path so it's quiet and peaceful but still super close to everything. The included breakfast was great. They have their own private dock to make for easier travel after your stay. I wish I had known I could use that when I got here! The balcony was absolutely stunning and I ended up relaxing here much more than anticipated. They also have kayaks you can use on the property.

The most amazing view. We spent a lot of time just at the hotel because of the gorgeous view. You can also use the kayaks free of charge. Very close to the boat deck and very kind and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast was also included with our reservation. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was delicious

Beautiful lake and great location, but to many stairs to climb. Rooms have no ac or have refrigerators. The staff is very nice and friendly. Overall I give them a C+.

Good cliffside hotel with sweeping views of the town and lake. The staff were incredibly friendly and even helped with luggage down the steep winding steps. The restaurant served fresh, delicious food, and the lakeside path made it easy to walk to town without needing a tuk‑tuk. A convenient and memorable stay.

I was so lucky to get a last minute booking with them! The space is so cute and and might be one of the best views in San Juan. The entrance was a bit off the beaten path (hidden) but it’s a quick 10 minute walk to the art street. Staff was super attentive even during a black out we had. Very cute vibe too.

Only good thing was our room was clean and the location good. Breakfast was edible but even rating it good would be a giant stretch. No screens on our window which they said they would provide and never did. Lots of bugs. And then to top it off overcharged us on our rooms. There are other options I would choose next time.

Uxlabil is up off the main road between San Pedro and San Juan. An "Eco Hotel"(whatever that means here) with nice views that overlook the bay in a rustic garden setting. Pros: - nice views from outside the rooms, hammocks as well - clean room - nice garden - dock area, although not much info shared about it but you can see it Cons: - many many stairs from the main road/entrance to the reception, beware if you are older/have kids. Might be better to enter from the dock. - Check-in: not much information shared about anything really. Had to wander around to find the path to San Juan, gardens, restaurant, dock etc. - Check-out: mostly ruined the experience for me. I checked in and had no issues regarding this, but checking out the front desk insisted I pay an additional 125Q because the booking was made for "one person" instead of two.. 125Q is around 30% of the cost of the stay - never had this issue in the past , and I usually search and book for one to uncover hostel options. Felt like a rip off especially because nothing was said about this when checking in - at this cost I wouldn't have stayed here. - Breakfast was included (which makes slightly more sense as to the additional person cost) but it was unimpressive, and did not have any coffee refills, no tortillas and no fruit/juice as mentioned on the menu. Likely understaffed because the poor (wonderful) ladies working there were all over. Overall - I wouldve stayed elsewhere if I had known the true total cost.
