The owners attitude was appalling.Lack of communication before arrival. room very basic and dirty had ants and cockroaches Tv didnt work .Swimming pool was ok.although none of the fountains worked. The only thing that we really liked was the staff at the restaurant which wasnt run by the hotel its self The boys were lovely and friendly and great food. The owner seemed disinterested and was grumpy.

Frindly family run hotel perfect location for the beach. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Onsite restaurant run by a Debar lovely guy and very accomodating. Patenom is not as busy as its neighbouring resort Palolem beach, which is only a 5 minute taxi ride away with its many restaurants if you fancy something different of an evening . All in all a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel

Our stay was ruined by the rude and agressive management. The pool was dirty (opaque) and unusable. The room was misdiscribed as deluxe when the rooms are only standard rooms. Edmond (manager?) admitted the descrition was wrong its the room pictures that are correct. We asked to pay for a room upgrade on which they became agressive and implemented rules that were not stated in the t&cs. They also tried to charge us the full rate for the room for a night not the difference between the price of the rooms. The management have no respect for their guest and are devoid of any customer service skills, they are quite happy to argue agressively with guests and infront of other customers in their resturant. It could be a nice place if they, respected their guest and improved customer service, improved their skills on pool and room cleanliness and told the truth in their advertisement. The hotel does not have a private beach and the name "Sea View" is misnomer.

The manager was vile, rude and arrogant. We looked at the pictures on the web and purchased an “Executive Suit”. When we were shown to our room it was at the back of the hotel overlooking a wasteland/tip. We went back to reception and asked for another rom ay front of hotel. The manager said “you have got the room you paid for if you don’t like it go back to ebookers. If you want better room you pay me more” I explained that the room we had paid for was the most expensive, he just said again “ you pay more or go somewhere else” The toilet did not work for 5 days and my wife was unable to open the room door for 6 days as it had dropped on the hinges. Our room was not cleaned for 4 days.

We arrived at the hotel and was very pleased at first sight but was very very pleased when in the morning we had a chance to look around it was great we stayed in the executive room overlooking the pool we found the staff very pleasant especially our room cleaner thank you, .We would like to stay there again sometime The bar and eating area could do with having a makeover we found that it was not appealing to us so come on The Seaveiw Hotel get this sorted and get more people to eat and be comfortable in this area .

The room we booked was squalid, so we had no choice but to move to a very expensive alternative. Most of the people we spoke to had the same experience. Basically it was a con. You should not be promoting this place.Staff were uncooperative and unhelpful and sometimes rude

Despite booking back in September 2016 - manager would not accept it and asked for a lot more money. This was done to other people as well who were left with nowhere to stay in middle of night.

Convenient location 5 min walk to the beach and across from a wonderful restaurant, room fairly spacious and very clean for India standards though bedding and towels were greyish in colour and old. The bed is quite hard. No WiFi in the rooms. The service was OK.

To arrive after a long journey and have to then wait 2 hours to be given your room was tiresome..staff friendly enough but the room was in need of an update..some nice curtains would help.

I am a solo male Canadian backpacker who was on a two month trip around India and Sri Lanka. This was a last minute internet find at the very end of the high season. I went to Goa because it was the end point of a train trip I wanted to take and because after the heat of Rajasthan and Gujarat I just wanted to jump in the warm sea. The manager was kind enough to come and pick me up at the Magdaon railway station at night - no small feat! At the end of the stay he also drove me to the Goa International Airport very early in the morning. The resort is a group of low rise residential buildings surrounded by greenery like coconut trees and with gated security. The room was relatively clean. Its electricity cut out quite frequently. Although it's only about five hundred meters from the beach, it was sort of a drag to have to walk there for each meal because the resort did not really provide meals in the low season. The beach restaurants were fun, inexpensive and with good food. The manager helped me with going to see Galigbag or Turtle Beach some eight kilometers away. There was decent laundry service. This was my first time using Expedia to book and I didn't remember whether I had paid for everything online with the result that I paid online for the basic rate and then paid the manager in cash for what was supposed to be extras like air conditioning and driving. Lesson learned: keep note of transactions when there's a middle person like Expedia.

We wanted a nice, quiet place located close to Palolem beach that would fit our budget. Seaview Resort fit that bill perfectly. You may not be able to walk right to Palolem from here, but Patnem beach is connected to the resort and is quite a pretty sight as well. And our host Edmond rented us one of his bikes which made life really easy for us! The hotel is pretty, the rooms clean and comfortable and amongst the cleanest you will find. The location is the right mix of quiet, and well-connected. An ATM, and a market (Chowdi) are at a short distance from the hotel and the area is well lit and safe even in the late hours of the night. Palolem beach is a delight for foodies, and if you want some real quiet time, try Agonda beach which is about an hour's ride from the hotel!

The hotel is reasonably close to the beach. The check in was professional. However, the room is very ordinary for the price. The environment is a bit depressing. The water in the shower does not have force. No offer was made to clean the room. We were not asked whether our stay was comfortable or if we needed something. The restaurant is expensive. We asked for red snapper fish but was given some other fish (tasted like cod). The waiter insisted that it was red snapper when I, with a 24 year hotel background, know exactly what I am getting. I wanted to read a book but I found a notice in the 'library' saying that books were only for sale. I expected at least a bottle of drinking water daily, but the hotel does not even ask the guests if they need potable water. A jug and steel glass is kept in the room, but no one asks if it needs to be filled. Overall, not a very memorable experience.

The hotel is very near Sea probably 100 meters from patolem beach,But no sea would be visible from the hotel. It would be better if they call it tree view rather than sea view. The other facilities were standard. The restaurant was too costly and lousy.probably a bit expensive for the facilities provided.Instead you can book a beach cottage directly on the beach which costs even less(probably half of sea view cost and has a real beach look just before you)

Rooms are average in size; but neither the room nor the hotel has any facility. No restaurant; no room service; no way to contact the reception from room. The rooms were not ready when we reached around 2 PM (check-in time was 11 AM). There are no restaurant or other facilities in the vicinity.

This was physically a really nice place to stay. It's in the town of Canacona about a two minute walk from its beach, Patnem. The gardens were lovely, the rooms clean, simple but adequate clothing storage, a smallish bathroom with good layout and good shower drainage. The restaurant food passable and staff generally responsive. We had a room with AC-important, as the concrete building does retain a lot of heat. The hotel had many services, including internet and scheduling of taxis and tours. Our main complaint is that the owner charged roughly 20% more for all of his services and restaurant food compared to everyone else in Canacona, and we couldn't haggle him down. After a while we got tired of this and "outsourced" the services. He was generally polite with us, but obviously didn't really like our outsourcing. However locals agree he's digging his own grave on this. Otherwise it was a nice stay. It's a 5 minute and 50-60 rupee autorickshaw ride to the town of Palolem and its beach just down the road. That beach is slightly more striking than Patnem, but way more developed with more crowds and nightlife. Canacona and its Patnem Beach are more laid back with a less people and less shops (but still many good-quality restaurants). Another neat part about Patnem beach is that many expats stay for extended periods, and they build up nice friendships with the locals.

By far the best hotel in Patnem or Palolem for genuine "Exotic Marigold Hotel" ambience and location. There are plenty of co-co huts and tents closer to the beach but if you don't like sand in your bed or mosquito nets then this is the place to stay. The Raja's Roost restaurant is the best in Patnem and they will get you anything you want if you tell Raja the day before. Don't go there expecting a Travelodge or a Premiere Inn. This is India...get used to it! The Manager Eddie has to cope with alot of (mainly British) moaning minnies...but if you treat him with respect, avoid threatening him with trip advisor and tell him what you need/want you will reap the reward many times over. Best value for money hotel on my 4 week stay in Kerala and Goa. NB Hot water is solar heated and is available in abundance at Sunset and early evening. By morning I recommend an early morning swim in the 'oggin...as I said...this is India...get used to it!
