This is a nice hotel with some pros and cons. Pros: Good location close to good bakeries, coffee shops, shopping, and theaters. It's a fairly long walk to the Kalsa and Cattedrale, so not so convenient if you want to focus your sightseeing on those areas. The hotel is clean and the rooms are modern with excellent water pressure. Breakfast is excellent. Cons: The biggest downside for us was the lack of ventilation in the rooms. We visited in December when the weather was gorgeous and balmy. Unfortunately the windows in the room only opened at the top, and only for a few inches. The room was sweltering and we couldn't air it out even though it was lovely outside. And leaving the window open at night is not an option because the hotel is on a very noisy street. The staff kindly provided a fan but we just couldn't cool the room down as the A/C had been turned off for the winter season. We would hesitate to visit again unless we were able to secure a room where the window opened completely.

I had a great experience at Hotel Politeama in Palermo. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable—exactly what you want after a long day exploring the city. The location is unbeatable: right in the center, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and major sights. A big plus is that the hotel offers parking, which made getting around incredibly convenient. I also want to highlight the excellent service from the concierge, Filippo, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay and made the experience even smoother.

I did not have the breakfast so I cannot comment on the breakfast.

It’s also conveniently located in the central area — just a short walk to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and convenience.

We loved this place - excellent value on the edge of the old town; most main sites in walking distance but not right in the middle of it all. Comfortable modern well furnished room (though pillows a little hard) with balcony and city view. Rooftop restaurant was special and worth a visit. Breakfast reasonable and plentiful. Staff very helpful.

Very nice & comfortable stay. Excellent location to stay in Palermo. Easy walking distance to the old town. We had a balcony with a view of the Piazza Garibaldi so a lovely place to sit out on & enjoy the view. Excellent restaurant with a fabulous on the rooftop, but quite small & therefore busy so definitely need to book.

The reception was always very welcoming. The room was very clean. Filippo, the concierge, was so helpful in helping with transportation to see my family in Grotte, just an amazing person. The area is wonderful to walk around. Will be back

Great breakfast choices with wide variety for all tastes. Rooms were older but clean and such a perfect location in Palermo. Had a room on the ninth floor and whilst the view was amazing the trade off was the noise from the rooftop restaurant (whose food was wonderful) as they dragged tables and chairs around at all hours. Def stay at this hotel but on a lower floor. Staff were terrific!

Short, wonderful stay in a clean and spacious room. Loved the location overlooking a cool plaza, and pretty good shopping/restaurants within a 7 minute walk. Expensive designer stuff really very close if that is desirable to you. Breakfast was extra but great variety with healthy options avaliable and good coffee.

This hotel has an incredible rooftop bar with views of the city. It’s also very centrally located near all the major attractions. Less than a 10 minute walk to the Massimo Theater. However, the room was very basic, beds were still, pillows were hard. If they updated the rooms this hotel would be 5/5

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of August into the beginning of September. The location of the hotel is perfect and during our time in Palermo, we kept saying that we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in the city. Both Via Roma and Via Maqueda are right by the hotel and offer tons of shopping, dining, and sight-seeing options. We tended to prefer Via Maqueda, but both will take you to the central station within a 25-30 minute walk. The hotel is also within a short walking distance of bus stops that can take you all around the city. Also, right by the hotel is probably the best sandwich shop in all of Palermo (A’ Putìa), which we definitely considered to be a major perk of its location. The hotel's rooftop bar offers a cool view of the city, but the view from our room's balcony was perhaps even better! The hotel staff were lovely and even let us check out an hour later than the hotel's official time for free. If you are planning a stay in Palermo, we couldn't recommend this hotel enough!

Great room - we stayed in the suite with terrace and it was fabulous! Enormous terrace overlooking the theatre piazza. Staff were really friendly and helpful… couldn’t have wanted more from our brief 3-night stay in Palermo
