We found everything was more than than we expected, and are looking forward to coming back next year, and hope to have the same apartment when we book, it was delightful. Only one thing, the mattress were too firm.

I really liked it , as it was not over crowded It was nice and quiet as my father had passed away recently . There was poor communication with Expedia to my hotel booking - regards to my shuttle transfer I liked the area but wished there was more shops available Overall - I liked the staff who were friendly and the resort itself I would go there again

Good and quiet location, although it's not close to the most famous beaches in Menorca. We stayed in Mid September and the resort was very quiet. Great, but my 5yo son could not find any other kid to play with. The room could go through a renovation but it's not bad, and it's spacious. My main suggestion would be to replace pillow (small and uncomfortable) and mattress (a bit too soft). Breakfast was good. Only fruit juices could be better. Very good swimming pool. But I did not see any kids activities going on. May be because it's September already. Wifi worked fine. Overall, it was positive and I may return.

Great place to stay. Staff were friendly, property was spacious and nice. I wouldn't say it was 5* but it was really really nice. We went in the 1st week of September and maybe that's why it was quiet but the pool always had loads of sun loungers free and clientele was family based. Air coditioningn throughout and fast wifi - I'd recommend this hotel. One last we didn't eat in the hotel so I can't speak for the restaurants. We ate out every night because there are so many beautiful restaurants everywhere on the island. Hire a car though. It takes an hour to drive from one side of the island to the other so you'll get the best of the holiday by driving around to all the beautiful little coves and beaches.

My sister and I were in need of a relaxing week away to wind down and escape the London life... This little getaway in Menorca was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered! The apartment was a good size, and only a short 10 metres from the massive swimming pool which was perfect. We spent every other day enjoying the pool. On the other days we visited Mao, Punta Prima and Beni Beca beaches which were all great. Bini Beca was our favourite day and we recommend this location to anyone visiting S'Algar. The staff were very accommodating and friendly - we enjoyed getting involved in the water polo, table tennis and pool table games. The bar staff were helpful and friendly and even allowed us to watch the World Cup in the main living room area and didn't mind our hooligan screams. The free taxi service to the two nearby beaches was great. We left the holiday feeling satisfied and didn't want to leave!

Not a fan of huge resorts as like to get out and about. Hadn't realised when I booked it just how big it was with around 4 different hotels. You definitely need a car if you want to see the island, although the bus service is very good, you have to travel to Mahon to travel to other places generally. Sant Lluis is just down the road, but not much there and not the nicest of areas. Mahon is lovely, especially by the Port. Would recommend pre-booking trips as they were fully booked and we could only do the glass bottom boat, which was very nice. I will return to Menorca, but would stay in Mahon or nearer to there. Food was great at PortBlue, staff very friendly and helpful, but we had a lot of ants in our room, mainly the bedroom!

If you are looking to party the night away - this is not the place to be. But if you are looking for total chill time in a quiet area with stunning coastal walks available - this really is the place for you. Small place, but access to bigger linked chain hotels 10 minutes away with a really good sports complex. Apartments give you your own space. Excellent weekend.

Very expensive you have to pay literally for everything even though is a package holiday!!! I feel let down by the facilities offered. However, breakfast was good, staffs were polite and very helpful. If I was advised on what to expect in terms of paying I would have had a sufficient money to cater for the extra expenses!! 👎

Amazing! PortBlue definitely blew me away the hotel was clean, big, and had great service. I wasn't impressed with the food I ordered though that was my only negative but you can make your own food in the kitchenettes provided besides that everything was perfect!

Great resort but needed more information on different restaurants in the area. Staff giving inaccurate information on 3 occasions. Courtesy train available but started at 11 am and finished 10 pm with siesta break during afternoon. Easy to walk around the resort of S'Alga to other venues but a little humid. Restaurant staff very friendly especially Carlos.

The hotel grounds was good. pool lovely and the kids enjoyed this. Our room was "updated" - i think not - kitchen in the room was smelly, tap was leaking , patio door was not working properly, aircon doesn't work during the day, tiles on floor was cracked and loose in places. The restaurant facilities was poor, air- conditioning was not switched on for breakfast or lunch (was uncomfortable). the food in the restaurant could have more variety. We found that the food and plates was not looked at and replenished when empty. we had to constantly ask for things, cups, plates, food. On one occasion the ice cream was not available at dinner , I asked for the chef to get some - he then brought out the previous nights melted and refrozen ice cream (you could see the area where the ice cream had been scooped out and bits of cross contamination ). advised this was not acceptable and he could not understand why I was saying this. Luckily the only waitress who was knowledgeable (Angie) was able to organise this quickly. I would say the hotel needs updating in the apartments (a coat of paint badly applied doesn't meet this standard) and the restaurants need to be better managed and staffed. this place seems to be treated as the little brother of the bigger Saint Luis hotel and doesn't get the same attention (even the nightly entertainment and mini disco) - I would consider staying again but only if the apartments are updated and the restaurants are better manager.

Excellent pool, very clean. Hotel, staff and food were good. Las Palmeras had insufficient easily available information on what to do and where to go, however, the San Louis Hotel had an English representative who was really helpful. S'Algar is a 15 minute walk from the hotel where there is a supermarket, two gift shops and two restaurants. (The supermarket near the San Louis hotel hardly stocks anything!) The coastline is spectacular but very rugged, you are unable to reach the sea except at the harbour, which is very pretty but not ideal for swimming in. There is a dive school if you want to learn. The small beach at S'Alcafar is worth a visit for sunbathing and swimming and is walkable from the seafront at S'Algar. If you are half board you are only able to use the buffet restaurant free, the other restaurant you will have to pay full menu price. We were quite happy with the buffet food.
