we have stayed twice before , this time , we rented a villa everything about the place is great . only problem this time was that we only got hot showers twice in 4 days , for the price , it is not acceptable!! also the level of the restaurant , is not up to par , compared to a few locations we have been to , they should really look into upgraded the cooking!! but aside from that we love the place ! we are lucky enough to be chefs , and know where to go buy fresh seafood locally , and we make ourself at home , with our cooking and wine drinking!!

Sublime looking and breath taking is the location. I have been here numerous times and my family and I are always impress with everything. The beach is breath taking, crystal clear water and white sand. Numerous water activities available. I highly recommend this place.

Very calm environment with a great staff and very good food

The beach area was nice and clean. The ocean view from the resort is breathtaking. The pool looked dirty and the tile around the pool had black mold all around. The room that I stayed was outdated, the furniture looked bad and the bed was uncomfortable and smelled like mildew. On the last day of our stay the resort ran out running water while I was in the middle of a shower I was offered gallon of water to finished my shower and rinse my hair out. Also no running water to flush the toilets. When I called the receptionist, I was informed that the issues with the water was going to be resolve in 1hr, I left the resort 2hrs latter and still no running water. There was only one restaurant open during my stay there. The food prices were outrageous and not many choices to chose from. This property is not a 5 star hotel like it is advertised, more like 3 stars.

Staff is great and very responsive. The food menus could be improved and include more Dominican dishes.

The property is postcard beautiful but we didn’t like our room. The sofa was damp, as if it had been shampooed and not dried (they put a nice blanket on it which made it fine) but the room also smelled like smoke which was quite unpleasant. The a/c was very loud and created an intense vibration in the kitchen, one bathroom and part of the bedroom. Two of the sitting chairs were the most uncomfortable chairs we’ve ever sat on but the bed, sofa and dining chairs were very comfortable. Sleep wasn’t good because of the a/c noise (louder than any of the other 4 hotels we stayed at on our visit to the Dominican Republic and louder than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at anywhere). So while the hotel is stunningly beautiful outside, it was our least favorite on our trip and we won’t return.

Sublime Samana truly lives up to its name when it comes to the stunning grounds and serene beachfront location. The natural beauty of the area is breathtaking, with lush landscaping and easy access to the pristine beach, making it a wonderful retreat for those looking to relax in a tranquil setting. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, but at times, it felt like they needed more training—simple requests often led to confusion. While their warmth and kindness made up for some of the hiccups, better training would enhance the overall guest experience. However, my biggest disappointment was the mattress. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected a five-star sleep experience, but unfortunately, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. A good night’s sleep is one of the most important aspects of a luxury hotel stay, and this fell short. Another issue was the bathroom lighting, which was way too dim. Getting ready in such poor lighting was frustrating, and it’s something that should be an easy fix in a high-end hotel. The dinner restaurant was also a letdown. We tried it the first night and never went back. The menu was very limited and significantly overpriced, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. Living in the DC metro area, I’m used to high prices, but these felt unjustified. It was disappointing to see so few authentic or locally inspired dishes in an area that should highlight Dominican cuisine. More fresh seafood and traditional Dominican flavors—

I never leave reviews but I had to for this resort! So so nice!! Very good service! I like how they had free beverages in the room and waters everywhere for us to enjoy without worrying about the extra charge. Quiet and serene the grounds are amazing! Loved it.
