Clean room, quaint hotel

Nice cozy room, clean, receptionist was in training and did an excellent job and was very confident. Excellent stay

Staff were nice, rooms were big, parking was easy (£4 per night) and all seemed pleasant. We left before breakfast but it looked good

Incredible history

Huge room, exceptional design, complementary water, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room. Friendly staff, great location and hotel rate.

Stairs are a killer! Rooms smell funny.

Breakfast was really great! I had a trad English cooked fresh. Could not fault it.

I always enjoy staying here. Historic building with character. Spacious and comfortable room. Very good service. Breakfast is a little pricey, but it is worth it: one is paying not just for the quality of the food, but also the ambience: proper table service (instead of the ubiquitious buffet) in a wonderful breakfast room. Cannot wait to return.
