Loved the character of this hotel. Staff was very friendly

To get to the room we had to go stairs up and down, in narrow corridor with luggage. We had the impression it was in the cave... also it was not perfectly clean, espacially the breakfast table, the corridor. Actually the room itself was not too bad and calm, just less nice than in the pictures.

The hotel and bar staff are amazing - lovely location too

Stayed at room 116. Bathroom floor had 3 tiles broken.

The room was nicely decorated and both radiators were on full so the room was very hot (for me) and only one of the windows opened slightly .. lovely breakfast, comfortable room, friendly staff, good price

When we arrived the front concierge desk was welcoming and knowledgeable which with it being a first impression is always good!!..Having traveled all over the uk in all levels of hotels I didn’t know what to expect however from the get go the free hotel parking was plentiful with a nice and safe location.There was the Sunderland run on the following day day but again there was a plan for our parking and leaving the hotel wasn’t an issue and the concierge team instructed us on what to do beforehand. During our stay the room we was absolutely fantastic!,it was Large ,well decorated room which also included a fantastic jacuzzi tub.The room was complimented by uninterrupted views over the sea which led to us both watching a beautiful sunrise from the window .The service during our stay was absolutely amazing too! All friendly staff and always happy to accommodate..upon departure we was chatting the the concierge staff again regarding coming back as by this time our minds was made up .we loved the area ,hotel and staff! You’re all a credit to that hotel ! Keep it up guys and gals! Will be back soon to explore more of that costal area using your amazing hotel as a base! 5starys all round from us! 😎👏👏

Comfiest bed with 4 overfilled pillows & 2 scatter cushions…..I was gutted when morning came! Breakfast was good - standard English breakfast. Overall, it’s a yes, from me!!

The jetted tub is fabulous. The view was wonderful.

Great location on the seafront. I had a room with a sea view, which was lovely. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent. They gave me a takeaway box on the last morning. I highly recommend the Italian restaurant next door and there are great cafes along the sea front walk.

The Manager was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great place to stay

Nice hotel on the beach. Extra parking around the back of the property was covered by cctv. Neat and tidy room, very powerful shower. Good food and service provided in the restaurant and bar.

Everyone who works at the hotel (reception, restaurant, bar, cleaners etc) are absolutely fantastic and customer service was great. Room was spotless though a little cold as the radiator wouldn't switch on but the bed so comfortable which provided a great sleep under the warm quilt. Glad I booked the breakfast as it was freshly cooked and there was lots of options. The only slight downside is that there are lots of stairs (and I mean lots!) so getting to your room is a mission if you're not near the reception so not ideal for disabled guests or, like me, just recuperating from a knee operation! Possibly the hotel could add a note in their description so if guests do have a problem with stairs then they can request in advance a more accessible room.

Pillows are terrible and the shower was a weird height but other than its a great hotel.

The hotel was nice allthough the air fresheners they were useiing were very strong and over powering, the staff could not do enough for you
