The bed was sleepable after a night on the razz and it was quiet, shower was ok if a bit basic, the room on the whole wasn’t too bad, but the guy on reception was hard work, probably needs to find a career not in the hospitality industry, and the hotel looks like building site, £54 takes the sting out of it a bit, and that’s the only reason I’d stay there again, but sooner pay an extra couple of quid and stay at chain hotel, saying that, it’s under new management so hopefully a work in progress, as it does have potential.

Our room was clean and spacious. It could do with a makeover as shower curtain and net curtains were stained. Apart from that it was just what we needed. The staff at the check in desk were friendly and approachable. Kitchen was closed for refurbishment but we found nice places nearby to eat from. Our room had a lovely river view. Very quiet at night.

Very run down, the room smelt musty and old, it needs a good makeover My car got blocked in so i had to wait half hour for someone to move

I wouldnt recommend this place whatsoever, we stayed for 2 nights staff was very abrupt, rude and wasnt very knowledgeable, they didnt know what they was doing specifically 1 young male staff member (useless) also took ages to do anything, ie check in took in excess of 45 minutes.

One of the worst stays in my life. Booked two nights but shortened my stay and left after first night. Never again, avoid this place - trust me!

The reservation was made by my employer. Upon arrival at the hotel I approached the reception to register. The receptionist asked for ID. This was provided. Unfortunatly the passposrt was out of date. Becasue of this my booking was not accepted.

Hotel didn’t look anything like the photos shown!! 1st room was greeted in the bed with ants! To be told at reception they would “upgrade” me!! Upgraded room was no better! Shower seal was green! Splats all over the carpet! Everything about it was awful!!

Terrible place completely opposite of the picture they put and scam you .Iam very surprised how come hotels.com as a service provider don’t inspect the premises or do the checks if the property looks like what they advertised I book it for 3 days went their stayed one night as I didn't had a option to cancel and nothing was near

The view from the start was notting compared to the picture online, looked dirty and staff was not well informed. I literally felt very bad and I could not stay there,we had to booked another hotel.

This place was disgusting. I’ve never in my life seen suck a filthy run down dump in my life. You would be better staying in a dump yard. Holes in the doors and walls and floors were black, it was horrible. And the en-suite was black. I’ve never seen something so dirty in my life. How it is even possible to get in such a state. They advertise something on the website and it does not even look like the photos. False advertising. Staff are also rude and not helpful. This place should be shut down

"I cannot express how terrible my stay was. This place is an absolute dump. The bathroom was disgusting—it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and I was too afraid to even use the shower. Speaking of which, I couldn’t even have a shower in the morning because builders were walking around the property ridiculously early. The room itself felt like a funhouse; the floor was slanted, and to make it worse, the bed was slanted too, so I spent the whole night sliding off it. There were only two plugs in the entire room, which made charging devices a nightmare. I would not even recommend this hotel for a dog. Avoid at all costs."

The room was classed as superior the only thing superior was the leak that stained curtains yellow and they had been up a while why the hell would you put anyone in that room? Disgusting stain on one of the seats in the room. I have photographs to back up my allegations. No breakfast and clearly says breakfast on the booking page. On arrival we checked in at 2pm walked into and icebox window wide open 3 heaters supplied as well as two on the wall all on yet had to wear my hoodie to bed to get warm . I’ve stayed in the annex before but the hotel upstairs was not up to what we paid false advertising fair enough it’s having work done it was 2 years ago as well . As for room with a view scaffolding and flapping plastic. Asked for milk so we could have coffee to be told we’ve not had a delivery of milk we are still waiting. Someone from hotels.com needs to rate this hotel. Real life bates motel
