Gorgeous room and setting! Staff members were so attentive

Staff were great

Room was lovely but controlling the heat was difficult. One minute cold then next raosting. Wanted to have a late rise in the morning but cleaners hoovering outside my room at 0800 was not welcomed. Food and drinks where great

Overall a lovely overnight stay but with a few minor operational niggles taking a little of the shine off. Room was lovely, spacious, clean and all the staff we interacted with throughout stay were very pleasant and well trained, and seemed like they cared. Food was very nice and in fact one of the party said it was the best dinner he had had in any Scottish hotel of this type. Overall we were talking about a return sometime.

Great location.

Staff very friendly. Rooms beautifully decorated but not without issues. We asked to move rooms due to various issues. Some are underground with an eye level view of the car park! Breakfast chaotic, tables not cleared quickly and took ages to get hot drinks and take orders. Too expensive for everything not to be perfect.

Beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings! Staff were really friendly and helpful! The spa and pool were excellent. We were recently married and the staff arranged a gift for us which was a really nice touch!

We were contacted prior to arrival about dining reservations. The main lobby and bar area were grand! The breakfast room and options were generous and delicious! Our room was lovely and spacious - even though it was quite a long walk to our hallway.

I don’t say this often, or ever but have to credit Mar hall with being one of the few hotels I have stayed in which I would rate as exceptional. Amazing building and location, lovely staff and excellent service. I slept very well and the room was quiet and very comfortable.

Property is undergoing extensive internal renovation which was not made clear on booking ( Nov 24). As a result several main areas were closed and relocated eg reception, dining room. Internal passages were rearranged making access to our room difficult. Staff coped well with this and were universally polite, courteous and professional.
