Arrived after reception had closed (as advised in advance) which went smoothly in terms of collecting key. However, arrived (single woman and young child) in room to find door wouldn't close fully and could be opened from outside. Child terrified and out of hours telephone number would not connect for the best part of an hour. Staff member finally answered telephone and told us "door was normal". Staff member attended room at my urging, refused to move us rooms and took another c. 20 minutes of playing with the lock to inform us that we had to slam the door with all our strength (at midnight) in order to close it properly. Child did not sleep as was terrified door would open during the night.

We picked this hotel because it’s walkable to the train station. It was a clean basic room with two twin beds. A Friendly lady at the front desk spoke English very well and was quite helpful. Irish pub right next door was perfect for our arrival at dinner time. For the price you can’t go wrong. - Two Canadians from Fenelon Falls

Well located for the train station. Also very close to the Chateau. Friendly service, though front desk is not 24 hours, and check-in time was strict.

Clean and convenient. The shower was better than some of the 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in. The room was clean and the bathroom recently renovated. Fantastic power in the shower. Location is perfect for the main train station and airport shuttle. Great value for 2 people.

Great location. Room was tiny but adauate. Issues were: wifi did not work in the room, breakfast was mediocre considering it was 10Euro per person. Not worth buying breakfady. Shower did not drain and you were ankle deep in dirty water almost instantly.

We know it's a budget hotel when we booked so ain't expecting much. The staff was helpful enough. But the cleanliness is really soso. The lobby smelt toilet cleaning product and we found distinct dirt on the carpet in the room.

Where to start! Despite good reviews this is one of the worst I've ever stayed at, and I am not particularly fussy. First, reception was closed between noon and 4 which meant amusing myself for nearly 3 hours in Nantes on a Sunday afternoon. No easy feat! Second, there is no parking, despite their claim. Third, the double room was tiny and poorly decorated. Mould in the shower, a broken toilet seat and, unbelievably, an old unzipped red nylon sleeping bag for a duvet!! Handy for the city if you don't mind being in a very seedy area. Not impressed at all.

This hotel is nicely priced, with an excellent location. Short walk from La Cite (where I was attending a conference), a half block from the Chateau and Cathedral, a few blocks from the train station (no need for a taxi), a few blocks from the wonderful city center, and easy walking to the gardens. The rooms are sparse, but clean, the staff is friendly and helpful (make sure to arrive before 11pm for check in as the front desk is closed afterwards). They also provide a decent breakfast for a few euro. The internet is fairly fast, and free. No worries about having items stolen from my room, but they did not have safes in the rooms. Also, the neighborhood seemed fairly safe, and the street is fairly quiet for those sensitive to noise. All around, an excellent choice for a budget traveller who wants a clean, secure room that is within very easy walking distance of most of Nantes' main attractions.

This hotel is conveniently located near the train station in Nantes, and we were welcomed by helpful and polite staff. The actual room itself was quite basic, but tidy and comfortable. There was unfortunately a rather funny smell coming from the bathroom which came and went over the two day stay, probably something to do with the plumbing. The area is a little seedy, being close to some, ahem, "adult" shops, but it didn't feel threatening or anything. Very close to the castle as well. I would consider staying here again.
