My wife and I had a lovely 4 night stay at Somerton Lodge. We were greeted by the owners, Anne and John who were great and very attentive. Anne gave us lots of local information upon arrival. The breakfasts were exceptional. The lodge was very peaceful and comfortable. We highly recommend Somerton Lodge for a relaxing stay. We shall return. Thank you Anne and John.

Friendly and welcoming, lots of information about the area and extremely good breakfast,

Somerton Lodge had a good parking area at the rear of the property. Anne & John were very welcoming and friendly. The location of the property was a little further out than we would have liked but still walkable. On check-in you have to say what time you would like breakfast and what you want to eat. Any changes to breakfast have to be made the day before. Wardrobe space was a little tight if you are packing for a week or more. Shanklin is a good base for seeing the island and this hotel was at a reasonable price.

We stayed for two nights ,we found the proprietor very nice and very helpful , the room was very clean and comfortable with much needed tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was very fresh and hot and filling

Great service, room and breakfast. They could not do enough for you, nothing was too much trouble and made us feel very, very welcome.

Had a great couple of nights here. Met at reception by the owner who was very friendly and very helpful. Showed us to our room which was a good size and spotlessly clean. Hotel is ideally situated in Shanklin Very close to the sights, beach and close to 2 bus stops so there was no need to use our car. Would definitely stay there again if going over to the island.

Had a lovely stay at Somerton lodge! The hosts were wonderful and the hotel was perfectly situated, clean and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend 🙂

All was very satisfactory.staff were particularly good at tidying the rooms even on a Sunday,always topping up the basket of sachets of tea,coffee,etc.in short very helpful all round.

Beautiful well kept house with large lounge area and separate large TV area. Friendly and helpful proprietors and guests. Easy place to be.

We had a lovely warm welcome by the owner and shown to our room. The room was well laid out and had plenty of storage space and a well stocked tea and coffee tray. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Only really mild negative was that the walls were a bit thin and you could hear conversations, televisions etc! The breakfast was wonderful and kept us ticking over until the evening time. The owners couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Absolutely brilliant place to stay and visit the local area. Being directly opposite a main bus stop really did help.

Bed was comfortable so slept well and the road was fairly quiet too.
