It’s a lot of walk from the Hotel but you have to be in shape and wiling to do all the walking. It’s a great walk along the sea, bridges to cross and a lot to get lost on. This was one of the greatest tour my wife and I did. Be fit for all the walk, if you’re not, get one of the 6 bridges Yacht tours and enjoy the view and the snakes!

We arrived in Porto after a red eye flight from America and we rode the train to the hotel. We were so tired. We arrived at the hotel at 10:45am and asked if we could possibly check in early. The answer was maybe by 2:45 pm. We asked for a restroom and was told it was on the 6th floor. After using the facility, we noticed a nice outside patio that no one was using. We sat down and relaxed as we had already paid for our room. After a few minutes, we were told we had to leave. The staff were not very welcoming.

Brilliant location with many restaurants close by. Staff were very friendly. Room was very spacious and clean. The shampoo/conditikner/shower gel was a nice touch in the room. Secure entry. There was a little noise from the street but we stayed at the weekend so more people out and about later at night. The noise did not bother us at all but may for very light sleepers. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and there is outside seating on the rooftop. Great hotel especially for the price.

The room I had was fairly basic, twin single beds, no frills, but the shower was good, everything worked. Well, the bedside lamp had a dodgy switch, but that was fixed immediately after I reported it, so they don’t lose marks for that. All the staff I dealt with were helpful and kind. The included breakfast was fine for a day or so, I imagine it would become repetitive over a long stay. The location was excellent, everything was walkable, there’s a big supermarket a few doors away…there had been previous reviews about noise from an adjacent nightclub, but I heard nothing. In fact, my first night there, I had the best sleep in two weeks of travel.

The staff of the hotel were great and room was comfortable. Unfortunately there is a club next door that is open from midnight to 6am that creates a lot of street noise. People congregate on the steps of the theatre itself after leaving the bar creating a noisy environment.

The hotel is in a great location, just about 20 minutes walk away from all major sights in Porto. There is car parking available opposite (don’t let the reviews hold you back, the car park is actually OK) for 15 euros/day. The reception staff is very polite and helpful. However, rooms could do with a lot of maintenance - loose toilet seat, leaking shower and shower head, decaying wood panels, worn out mattress etc. WiFi is good but it’s linked to the TV in some sort of weird arrangement so if you switch the TV off the wifi goes off. The breakfast easily tops one of the worst breakfasts we’ve ever had in a hotel. There is literally one type of cheese, one type of ham (doesn’t look very appetising), boiled egg, few sweet pastries and basic cereals. And melon. That’s the only fruit you have, nothing else, no greens, tomatoes or other legumes. Overall an OK-ish stay but given the cost of the 2 rooms we had for 3 nights (700 euros) the hotel is not good value for money and we would not stay again.

Nice stay. Room is very small and uncomfortable but clean. Beds are also small and uncomfortable. AC was ok. Location is very good. There is a garage in front.

The hotel is located very close to the centre (the river is downhill from the hotel 15mins walking). There is a large supermarket 1 minute walk away, which serves all foods including hot meals. The rooms are very clean and spacious, we had a suite, which was certainly worth the upgrade. The rooftop breakfast was a delightful experience, particularly considering it was included with the room price. Also they have gluten free options, you just need to request them. The car park directly opposite allows you to park for €15 per 24hours. Although you need to validate your parking ticket at the hotel reception. Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend!

Chambre grande et confortable avec salon. Service courtois à l'accueil, mais l'équipe du déjeuner est indifférente et inefficace. Le déjeuner est médiocre et le café est imbuvable. Dommage, car l'hôtel possède une très belle terrasse où manger.

Rooms are music and theater based, clean and comfortable bed. Surprisingly quiet even with Festa de Sao João happening outside. Bonus was eggs at breakfast!
