If you’re traveling to Vieques I highly recommend Sea Gate! It’s a unique property in the hills above Isabela directly across from an old Spanish Fort. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. It was very quiet, relaxing, and the vibes are rustic villa/charming.

Very friendly staff and an excellent location for our 3 night stay to explore vieques a little bit. We have a 6 year old boy that loves to talk everyone's ears off everywhere we go and they made him feel very welcomed. He especially liked the horses and the iguanas.

Super cool landscape! It was adequate. No amenities, go prepared with snacks and your own food. Room was clean and cozy.

Amazing stay and perfect home base on Vieques. At check in, Kelly gave us great recommendations of what to do and how to work with island life. The ferry told us to avoid the bio bay due to the full moon, but Kelly told us the moon wouldn't be out until after nine, so we were able to see the bay in it's full glory (thank you so much!). If you are looking for a true local place with the amenities and cleanliness of a big name hotel, the Seagate is your place.

Kelly and Penny were very helpful throughout the process and contacted us a few days before our arrival to ensure we knew where to park, where we could leave our bags if need be and answered all our questions and treated us like family. I highly recommend Sea Gate and would stay there again.

Highly recommended, staff was accommodating and friendly. Horse back riding was the highlight of our stay. Very easy for English speakers, and close to the ferry.

Owner did an outstanding job with communication on everything unique about the property. Wonderful place to stay and will be back!

Penny and Kelly were amazing! The property is very convenient to the ferry terminal and they have horses on property. It’s family owned and cute breakfast included. Air conditioning and ample accommodations for our group, definitely recommended!!!

the seagate was amazing! kelly was great about making sure we knew where we were going & parking & all that & her mom, who checked us in, was absolutely lovely & gave us a ton of really good recommendations. the grounds were so beautiful - you can tell how much love & work has gone into the seagate & we were so glad we stayed here!
