Ambience was great, and rooms were amazing. Needs to train restaurant staff better as they are slow.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and were greatly impressed by its location, the spectacular views from its front entrance, dining room, the balcony of our room and most of all from its swimming pool. The food was excellent. But what impressed uis most was the staff, always smiling, couteous and helpful (both my wife and I are over 80 years of age). Those who were most helpful to us were Balaji, Nrtihya, and Majula. The only facility the hotel lacks is an elevator. Nonetheless, we indeed to go back to it for a longer stay before the end of the year.

Wonderful staff, especially Vijaya Kumar and Vanitha at the restaurant and Nithiya at the front desk. Lovely grounds with great views and an infinity pool -- Feels like you're in heaven. Decent wi-fi this time around, and the rooms seem better.

I had booked a stay of 4 nights but checked out after 2 nights. The hotel was noisy and we couldn't get hot water at night. It wasn't a pleasant stay. The only redeeming factor was the excellent service of the staff members.

It rained every night, cloud cover every morning. Stay was good with pleasant climate, view from the cliff was cool. A swimming pool on the edge of tge cliff is a good ecperience. Avoid food from the restaurant if possible, a bit costly and not at all tasty. Cheers

Most expensive and least value of all destinations stayed at in India. Stayed 2 nights. Standard room below par for the price. No room in hotel has 2 singles, so had a single foldaway bed added to our room which already had a king bed in it. Management offered us a bigger room for extra rupees. Get real! Bathroom good, hot shower. Plenty of games facilities. Pool amazing location but slightly cloudy, should be cleaned. Restaurant food very nice provided you eat Indian style. Had a disaster with a western style meal, chef offered an apology and free choice from menu to compensate. Shows desire to please western palate as well. Admired his humbleness to admit his mistake. Location walking distance to Yercaud town, steep uphill climb back to hotel. Independent travellers need a car or motorbike to sightsee.

Our booking was not found by hotel. We had booked for three nights, stayed one and had to pay cash because hotel credit card system is for Indian cards only. The drive to the hotel is long uphill so it's best to stay for the view and cool weather. Unfortunately, the one day we stayed was cold and rainy so no good view. WiFi was not working and overall condition of the hotel is good, but nothing special for a resort. I would not stay again.

From check-in time to check-out it was great experience to be here. I enjoyed every bit of my stay. Especially, my 4 year old daughter enjoyed a lot. I would surely recommend this place.

It was a good trip and a good stay at Hotel Grand Palace, Yercaud. The hotel has beautiful views. Positives about the hotel: 1.Food and service were amazing. Special mention of the food 2. Great views from the hotel 3. Friendly hotel staff Negatives: 1. There was a problem with the hot water. It was extremely difficult with small kids and the weather being cold and no hot water was bad. 2. Not much activity in the resort. 3. Accessibility is an issue, especially if you do not have your own vehicle, there is no way to go down the hill to explore the place. 4. No night activity / group activity conducted by the resort

We were there for our anniversary and it was just great. We booked this hotel last minute just because we saw a picture of the infinity pool. The hotel has outdoor and indoor play area (my rating 5/10), an infinity pool on the hill-side with an AMAZING view of the hill (my rating 10/10). The service was pretty average, had some trouble extending our stay though (my rating 5/10). The restaurant food was pretty good (my rating 6/10). The rooms were pretty decent and it opened out to the play area and the pool with a great view (7/10). The drive (in Sep-2014 end) to the Yercaud hill was just awesome - good road and great views.
