Was not advised about a wedding so noise not great; layout of room not great me and my wife could not get a double bed and we could not even ush both beds together due to there layout. Not soaps; creams or shampoo where you would expect from Cheaper hotels

Staff very friendly and helpful

I loved having a bath to soak in after my long journey. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food great, the room neat and tidy and a good size. I'm definitely coming back here.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and I was very disappointed to find no real ale on draught as there has been in the past. The food is good though and although the rooms are starting to look a little 'tired' they are comfortable enough. The paint appeared to be peeling of the wardrobe in my room but that was cleared up after my first night.

Checked in very late but staff were still around, helpful and friendly. Breakfast has to be one of the best I have ever had and would love to come back if I'm in the area again.

A place I have stayed at once before which was positive. When initially given room 11, I soon found out that the bathroom was still getting work done to it so I was moved next door to the Bridal Suite. This was a lovely upgrade but one that shouldn't have been needed. The bed provided a full night's sleep after a soothing shower from a long day. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet to get the day started.

The staff were great, room clean & comfortable & I enjoyed my evening meal & breakfast, what’s not to like. If I ever stay in this area again I’d happily book the Angel hotel again

Great hotel worth every penny

Very pleasant and comfortable hotel where the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were good full English with cereals, fruit juice, fresh coffee, croissants etc. We ate in on our first night and although the menu is limited there should be something for everyone

Quite an old hotel on a main road with nothing around

Hotel is easy to find and has loads of parking spaces. Hotel staff are friendly and polite but customer service doesn't seem to be much of a priority. My Standard Double was similar to what you'd get in a reasonably priced chain hotel - clean and comfortable. They'd stopped serving food by 8pm with no out-of-hours food options. They directed us to a fast food van nearby which was very good and we ate on the terrace outside. Bar was open 'til 10.30pm. Breakfast was buffet style and very good. There's no air con but my room had a good desk fan which made it bearable in the 30° heat. A good place to stay but it would benefit from a stronger customer service ethos.

room very drab, dingy, ironing board but no iron, cigarette ends and empty beer glasses left outside, rubbish strewn along rear of building was the view from room window, mouldy bread at breakfast, manager not helpful , if i could have added a photo of the rubbish left outside the length of the path of all the rooms i would have, but will on trust pilot, waitress staff were very polite, the only good point, but wouldn't stay again if i was paid to
