My go to hotel in the area because it is always friendly, nothing is too much trouble, clean and convenient place to stay. I rarely eat there, doing so with friends in the neighbourhood, which is why 4 stars not 5 but given the comments I hear from those who do I suspect 5 would be deserved.

I didn't like this place. First impression: the furniture and fittings were so cheap and nasty. It has the appearance of everything having been chosen from a catalogue, remotely, with the objective of paying the least possible. Second, the staff were miserable and unhelpful; no one smiled, they just seemed to moan among themselves (although in fairness I would probably be miserable if I had to work there). On the positive side, the place was very clean, and the cleaners seemed quite jolly, which probably says something. Third, the self-service breakfast was a real horror, barely fit for human consumption: deep fried sausages of the lowest quality, oozing fat, flaccid fried eggs which looked as if they had been cooked hours beforehand, nasty greasy mushrooms. I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again.

Pretty average but nothing special about it. The decor is plain and on the poor side of the scale. Slightly expensive for what is on offer. I would not use it again.

For the price paid the room was very good, the bathroom great size, the lady working behind the bar was friendly and engaging, very quiet area, we have stayed here before, and perfect for one night, the front of hotel looks really nice, shame the weather changed as would have been nice to sit outside, we had evening meal which was very nice, didnt have breakfast so cant comment on that, plenty of parking available Check in and out was very easy,( reception could have been a bit friendlier), not rude just be nice to ask how our stay was etc.. the bar and restaurant could do with updating its a bit soulless, comfortable armchairs though to sit and have a drink,

Check in was painless and quickly managed Stayed for 1 night and room was clean and comfortable en suite included was good. Bar and restaurant was very good with outside beer garden if needed. Breakfast was excellent and buffet style. staff very welcoming and helpful would stay again

Stayed overnight between business trips. Check in took about 30 seconds (the chap said about 3 words, seemed really miserable). Room hot, no air con, very basic. Walls very thin, could hear everything from other rooms (including a man peeing multiple times, tv on next door very loud at 5am, and another man stood outside on the phone at 6qm). Only saving grace was a decent breakfast. Didn't get chance to try the pub, but looks nice, just hope they have some happy staff! I won't be staying again

Positive: Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had an outside room behind the carpark. Room was great with a big bathroom. Breakfast was buffet with lots of choice. Only negative: Hotel is not in walking distance of anywhere and we where disappointed no food available on a Sunday evening.

Excellent hotel at a great price. Room was clean and tidy plus the breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Will stay again next time I’m down.

Nice location, nice room and comfy bed. One negative that we experienced was when we arrived we waited for a while before anyone came and when they did they simply gave us our key, told us our room and that was it. No warmth, not very friendly and was a bit of a shame. Left us both thinking it was a bit off. Other than that, the hotel was lovely.

No eye contact from staff when arrived or a hello. Could be friendly. At time of ordering meals lack of understanding of what we ordered meant our meals were delivered 10 mins apart. Room was adequate but for the price we paid good value. Beautiful location and plenty of car parking
