Four star was mainly for lack of kettle, coffee pot, bathroom amenities, basically comfort items.

An enjoyable stay overall. 10€ per night extra for a dog was a little expensive. Pity the dog was not allowed on the outside terrace. Also, a walled in balcony/terrace would be better for a dog friendly room than one connected to several others. Fridge was not cold enough. Great coffee machine but only plastic cups? Also, only plastic, disposable glasses... could be more environmentally aware.

Excellent value, spotlessly clean. Room was very good. Good breakfast included. Dinner was ok for the money.

Great cheerful reception staff who were helpful. Beatuiful view and lovely spacious room. Very clean rooms . Regrettably the evening meal was extremely poor, very tasteless and seemed based on frozen ingredients. Wasn't sure if this caused my gastrointestinal attack but other travellors also stated the food was poor. Such a shame as the hotel is otherwise delightful.

It was nicely decorated, good location, lovely bathroom, clean, plenty of hot water. Good heating. The stairs in the room were a bit treacherous, as they were slippery. Reception was helpful. Beautiful scenery, quiet and peaceful. The restaurant had a nice menu but somewhat limited for children. The food was a bit hit and miss. The fish and the artichokes were fantastic. All food beautifully presented. The paella, (and I'm from Valencia) was awful, more like a risotto and the rice was crunchy. Breakfast was of a good quality but there was not a huge selection. There is parking but it is limited.

Hotel provided an ideal base to explore the area in the car, walking or bike. Stayed with wife and son and had a very roomy and comfortable 2 bed apartment with fantastic views out over the surrounding mountains. Food at hotel excellent quality and included a 3 course evening meal of the day for 15 euros. Village of Bubion was small but beautiful and considering it’s remoteness had several good quality bars and restaurants. The 2 other neighbouring villages were equally as good for facilities and access by country marked routes was first class - Pampaneira and Capileira. All staff at hotel excellent and very helpful. All in all a first class stay and would definitely return if in the area again.

Separate living to bedroom. Very clean and in a great location to visit the pretty hill towns/villages of Bubion and Capilleria. Both the dinner and the breakfast were of good quality with impeccable service.

Stayed one night at the Villa de Bubion. Free parking. Staff very helpful. We were upgraded to a duplex apartment, which was lovely, with a bedroom and bathroom downstairs and a lounge and bedroom upstairs. Aircon worked well, although in September when we stayed, it wasn't really necessary - we just left the window open at night. We didn't use the pool but it looked inviting. Residents can enjoy a 3 course dinner with appetiser for €12, and we really enjoyed our meal. We would definitely stay here when we next visit the Alpujarras.

Lovely hotel , very unexpected with a mini villa 2 bedrooms and a living room , convenient for walking and the outdoors, I would recommend to anyone.

The villa is beautiful with lot of space. Breakfast is good which is included in the room. We enjoyed the stay very much.

This is an ideal base for walking in the Poquera valley. Comfortable rooms and a good buffet breakfast although you have to find a cooperative staff member if you want freshly made coffee rather than the inferior stuff in the jug at the buffet. Overall, very good value. Wifi only in the main building.

Loved being in the mountains, good hiking. We spent the day hiking in the Sierra Nevada.
