I had booked a 4 night stay for some r&r choosing to stay in the manor house. My 1st day there was a wedding being held at the Manor House, some facilities not available or restricted. I had not been informed of this event, my day of r&r sadly not forthcoming. An outdoor pool was not available, in the middle of a heatwave, apparently our of season in July. The rooms I was able to enter in the manor house are tired and need a refresh, my room had black mould in the bathroom, a ceiling extractor fan that had not been cleaned in I don't know how long. Curtains that did not close, blinds that had an up down chain that high I had to stand on tiptoes to use. A set of drawers that were balanced on 2 blocks of wood. A window that had permanent condensation between the panes. The leisure centres womens changing rooms are sadly wholly inadequate, can't comment on the mens. Limited choice of food, particularly if you only want a snack, no sandwiches on offer. The food I had was all tasty and filling. My bed was very comfortable, the views are spectacular, the grounds are well maintained and litter free. The pool was cool and inviting, the aqua aerobics class was well run. The staff I interacted with were all polite and helpful. Sadly having checked my credit card statement it looks like I've been charged twice, so I will now have to sort that out and wait for a refund ....... ............

Unfortunately our stay was marred by the fact that the bathroom bin had not been emptied and contained the previous residents used sanitary products!!! The shower took 25 minutes to drain and, whilst we understand the logistics of old manor houses, if the plumbing is not up to standard then this should be at least mentioned on booking. The bathroom windows were in desperate need of repair, and mould cleaner, which may be the reason why there were silverfish in the bathroom. The final straw for us was the view of all the bins from the bedroom window! I'm sure it's got more to offer but we won't be going back to find out. We did mention all of the above on checkout and she was going to send maintenance to have a look so hopefully the next guests don't have the same issues.

the mole offers exceptional value for the price with a small scale spa resort like vibe. however we were more than disappointed with the food which could have come out of a kitchen at Wetherspoons. A great shame as otherwise its a real gem.

Had no hot water on 2 days of our 3 days stay. Servicing of room not carried out as towels were not changed each day, beds were not made up and coffee and tea were not replenished until we phoned reception. The room bin was not emptied during our stay. We paid £472.50 for 3 nights stay.

I was a guest at The Mole checking out on Monday, 2 February. When I returned home I realised that I had misplaced my stainless steel Rolex. I spoke that evening to Steve Parfitt on reception who immediately checked the pool locker and kindly called me back to inform me that he had found it. Steve offered to meet me at the railway station some 15 miles away and I took the train down, and he was able to return my watch to me in person. This watch holds particular sentimental value, as my two brothers and I all own the same model. I am therefore extremely grateful for Steve’s honesty, efficiency, and kindness. I would like to commend The Mole Resort for employing such a trustworthy and dedicated member of staff. Steve Parfitt is truly a credit their organisation, and they and the guests are very fortunate to have someone of his calibre on their team. This reflects very well on the Mole resort. I would just like to add the the pool and sauna facilities of "The Mole" are outstanding - as are their honest efficient staff.

Stayed with friend with disability. The Manor House is totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. No lift and many steps and stairs to negotiate. Bar area does not have enough comfortable seating, so not an area to stay and relax. The restaurant is only accessed by stairs or steps down, and the toilets are on another level.

Not very clearly signed when you arrive on how to check in, and no lighting, so hard to navigate if you arrive at night time… Make sure to go to the hub first!

Had a junior suite in the manor house, very spacious & bay windows. Easy parking. Bed base just slats, bit hard. Bathroom bit tired, floor wonky, no night light had to put big bright light on if went to loo in the night.

The stay was incredibly relaxing and the room amazing. Sadly our safe remained broken the entire time. Shelby and Brendan were superb teachers for archery and axe throwing- we had so much fun! Highly recommend a visit
