We travelled to Whitley Bay from York to attend a family funeral and booked this hotel for an overnight stay. We were looking for a small family run hotel with personal service and that is what we got. A lovely spacious newly refurbished bedroom with on suite, and all that we would wish for although not needed, even a microwave! The management could not have been more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Cooked English breakfast was superb. Highly recommended.

The owner was so friendly and ready to help if required. They had gluten free breakfast options which is rare! And couldn’t do enough for me. The room was beyond expectations and bed very comfy.

It was a lovely place to stay, quite alot of stairs if you struggle with stairs be sure to request a low floor room, I didn't do this but It was my own fault however we were only in and out once but I will deffo stay again it was a lovely place

Stayed for 4 nights visiting friends and family, really convenient location but above all a very personal experience. The room was lovely, clean and freshly decorated, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary homemade biscuits to help yourself to at reception. Very attentive and lots of really good recommendations to local restaurants and places of interest.

This boutique family run hotel is an absolute gem. The owners have impeccable taste, a theme running through every tiny detail. Gorgeous room and I have to say the nicest breakfast I've ever eaten. And as a bonus you have Trenchers fish and chips just around the corner. A lovely stay. Thank you!

The owner, Michael, met us at the door. He was friendly and made us feel very welcome. He explained the hotel's layout, guided us to parking, and told us about breakfast. The rooms are clean and well set out. Each room has a fridge. Though the hotel does not serve evening food, there is a machine for snacks, and they serve homemade cookies. The breakfast was delicious. There was plenty of choice, including gluten-free and alternative plant-based milk options. We were visiting family and are delighted to have found nd this hotel nearby. We’ll be back.

We were warmly welcomed and our room was great. It was very roomy, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. Our host was friendly and very helpful. We would stay there again.
