The hotel's interior was designed comfortable and modern. Our only issue with this hotel were the cold rooms. In beginning of February the outside temperature was beneath - 15 degree celsius. The central heating was in the night time off. One of us had as a result a soar throat. I myself felt it a little bit in my nose. We asked the reception desk employee for mobile heaters. At first we got 2 mobile heaters. Later on we got a third heater, because it still was not warm enough. In the second night, the power supply broke, because it could not handle the usage of 3 mobile heaters. We asked for help. The front desk employee in this night offered us an upgrade into a superior room. The main room was more spacious, but the bath room was smaller than in our standard room. So it didn't seem to be a real upgrade. The power supply didn't work in this room, too. We were offered to move into another standard room with direct sea view. Again the power supply failed. We need to mention, the front desk employee was not willing to move our luggage on our request. His argument was, because he was alone in the front desk. So we needed to move our own luggage from one room to the other in the middle of night. We didn't expect such behavior in a Marriott Hotel.
But we want to praise Mr. Christopher's excellent treatment with our complain about this whole negative experience. As we understood Mr. Christopher is the Front Desk Manager. He assured us to prioritize our problem's solution. The same evening a technician send to our room, figured out the room's power supply can handle only 2 mobile heaters. Mr. Christopher had made sure that the central heating would work 24 hours, at least in our room. We are really grateful, because Mr. Christopher had helped us, to make our stay really enjoyable for the last days.
We want to express our satisfaction with Mr. Emil, who was willing to come to our room for taking a part of the Mini Bar's fridge out, so that we could cool our food. He was on other requests helpful and friendly. Ms. Maria and Mr. Martin were very helpful and friendly, too and were diligent and willing to help us in our requests and needs. Ms. Maria had reserved us the first room on the day of arrival with partly sea view, although we had booked city view. It was a nice gesture of her.
