We have stayed at the Port Europa Hotel a few times, this will be our last visit. The rubbish bin in the bathroom had not been emptied from the previous occupant, the room was dark and in generally poor condition. There is a lot of choice for breakfast but the quality is very poor and we had to queue for a long time every morning for coffee, more machines are needed. Breakfast was not a pleasant experience as it seemed like a free for all every morning. On one of the mornings the swimming pool tiles (which are next to the dining room), were being painted with an extremely unpleasant product that gave out an over powering smell. Incomprehensible that whilst people were eating food such an activity was being carried out, bad management! The positives were that the staff were friendly and the Hotels proximity to the beach and town is very good.

Great stay but food in restaurant wasn’t hot enough. I was on half board and I was worried about the holding temperatures for the hot food. The variety of the food was good though

Myself and family have been visiting Calpe for many many years now but our first time staying at this hotel on a last minute break. We would definitely come back! Had everything we needed and our room & balcony were huge with a fantastic sea view! Breakfast was adequate and pool was usually quiet so we could get sunloungers no problem (early June stay). It is about 10-15 min walk from the Main Street in Calpe but that meant that round our hotel was quiet 😊 we have previously stayed at Gran Hotel Sol Y Mar 3 times but as lovely as it is (and don’t get me wrong there is a big difference) but I don’t know if it’s worth more than double the cost of here! Parking around the hotel is in the ‘orange zone’ which is free all through May & June or there is the salinas land which you can park for free on only a 15 min walk away too. We had a couple of facilities issues with the air con & hairdryer but both were dealt with the same day we reported them- we will return here for sure!

Avoid this hotel. The walls between rooms are paper thin. We were told at midnight that we were no longer able to talk in our room even though my wife and I were only talking quietly. This happened two separate nights. Check in was a disaster, 1 person managing a long queue. Food was average at best, wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Our first night was not good, the walls are paper thin and our neighbours snored very loudly all night. Reception relocated us to another room the next day. This room was functional, very large but very dated. We had a view of the salt lake and a nice big terrace. Wifi was good, breakfast wasn't great, when items ran out sometimes they were not replaced. The staff didn't appear to be very happy in their work. By comparison we recently stayed at another Ports hotel and the breakfast was excellent and the general atmosphere was really upbeat. The hotel felt dated and generally a bit run down. The elevators were intermittent, especially the older ones. Being on the 8th floor we would oft6give up waiting for the elevator and use the stairs. Luckily we are very fit & active. The location is excellent, easy walk to all of Calpe's amenities. Parking was plentiful and easy.

Overpriced average hotel. It is somewhere around the lower mid-range in terms of services provided. Only 2 main elevators are not enough to bring many people up and down, especially during rush hours. Elevators don't respond to commands (they keep bringing you down when you are pushing the buttons to go up, because someone else is calling them down!). Great location - fairly close to the two main beaches and many restaurants. Good breakfast, but very touristy hotel overall. The look, feel and furniture. Understandable, though. Equipment, amenities are average at most (nothing extra) and thank God there is a minibar. Sound isolation is good, there was no noise. If you are lucky, you get a high-placed room with a nice view!

Nice enough hotel. We had one of the apartments with a mini kitchen. Was a large space with a large balcony too. Service great, standards ok, location good.
