Overall Ratings & Reviews Recoleta Grand, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

The Recoleta Grand is undergoing renovations. It had a few hiccups. But they were resolved immediately by a friendly and efficient staff. It will end up looking beautiful. And the location couldn’t be better. We will definitely be staying there in our next visit to Buenos Aires!

I didn't like the ridiculous price for the minibar snacks, some were kept outside making you believe its complimentary, room service ladies replace daily snacks which is outside, despite not using anything from the fridge the minibar, the pack of nuts mix kept outside drawn huge ridiculous bill for 5 days, which I did not like, leading us to believe it is complimentary and then slapping you with hefty bill, they should have been more upfront.

Nice hotel, nice staff, let us check in early for no additional fee, everyone very friendly. Breakfast can be better, very limited choices, scrambled egg not eatable.

You can’t beat the location of this hotel . It is walking distance to all the main attractions of Recoleta . But this hotel has seen better days . For whatever reason there was a weird stench in the bathroom so much so that we had to come down to complain . Since we were there for just 1 night and most of the time out in the city we didn’t bother to change the room . The carpet was dinghy and stained . I was expecting much better cleanliness . However the staff is very nice and gave us very good information about the locality .

Nice room in a good area for pre-cruise stay. I booked tours through Expedia with hotel pick-up, everything went great. Nice lobby, efficient checkin, and door staff. Impressed with the room size and amenities. I explored the area a bit during the day and felt safe. Walked to the cemetery and back with no issues - solo traveller.

After11h of flight we came around 6am, no room was available till 2pm. Check out late privileges was not available. They let me stay till 6pm and pay for that time.

Recoleta Grand is NOT a traditional "Grand" hotel! In fact it is an under-stated modern medium sized establishment in a pleasant quiet street in the heart of the Recoleta district which is excellent for walking around. From the warm welcome onwards the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. It instantly became our home-from-home during our short stay.

Cleanliness and comfort were excellent. the free breakfast was great. The area is obviously upper middle class and restaurants are a few blocks away.

While a very grand hotel, there was lot that was not so great. The room was small - and badly laid out. The TV nearly got knocked off 3 times. Only one small bin the room and bathroom. Hoovering outside the bedroom at 9am on a Sunday morning. Noise from the conference suite disturbing breakfast room. Front staff not being able to offer meaningful recommendation (for wine bars or markets).
