As expected… to be recommended

Location in park like setting very desirable- still very close to center of town. Nearly adjacent to Aqua and Jorn Museum. Grounds just lovely, tranquil. Rooms attractive though small. Hotel restaurant food only sampled at breakfast, but was good. Lovely terrace for breakfast in good weather.

We loved having an authentic Danish experience while staying at the hotel. We could have stayed elsewhere in a hotel that was like any other hotel but this hotel has an interesting history. Plus the property is gorgeous! The front desk staff were great!

Comfortable place to stay with friendly staff, and excellent food.

Superb hotel, extremely kind and accommodating staff. Loved the breakfast, free bicycle use, beach towels, beautiful garden and walking trails. Dinner was of good quality and reasonable value, especially the wine. The hotel is well positioned relative to the town centre and swimmable Almind Lake.

Excellent stay. Very clean rooms. Hotel restaurant was fully booked but they made space for me and made me feel most welcome. Food quality was excellent. A special thanks for the lady on reception who was most helpful.

My friend and I had a really nice stay at the BW Premier Collection Gl. Skovridergaard. The hotel is in the outskirts of Silkeborg but you can borrow bikes for free or enjoy the 20 mins walk to the center of town. The hotel is a bit outdates but still nice and the beds were really comfortable. Also enjoyed the balcony overlooking some nice green area. The breakfast was excellent and there were plenty of nice choices. The reception was welcoming and helpful but the receptionist could have had a bit more knowledge about the areas as was struggling to provide recommendations. Anyway we had a great time and I would go back if I get a chance. Thanks a lot

Spacious rooms with terraces overlooking a beautiful sculpture park. Very convenient to the attractions in the Silkeborg area -- especially museums and the park. Probably a good 15 minute walk into the center of town. Breakfast choices in the morning are ample and delicious. Filled with lots of local and regional art. Had a nice covered area that allowed us to sit outside even in a deluge!

Staff was outmost friendly and organized a late breakfast among other things to accomodate to our plans for a run in the forest just outside - directing us to a very clean lake close by for a pre-breakfast swim. The cleaning was ok but did not include outdoor furniture on our balcony. The five course dinner in Orangeriet was absolutely fantastic- amazing value for money. we can recommend this place for a gourmet getaway in beautiful natural surroundings

Lobby and lounge area looked amazing and was very comfortable. Was quite excited as I walked in, but then I got to my room. Not sure what I booked, but if it was a double room, which I think it was. It was tiny, you could not have had two people in that room. You could only walk around one side of the bed. Wasn't a fan of the pea green carpet either. The room was also cold. Staff were great very friendly and chatty.

This hotel was a real find. The staff were really helpful and we borrowed bikes from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious. I would definately recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely hotel nestled in some amazing surroundings. The art work everywhere is impressive. The staff are very helpful. The breakfast is excellent. This was our second stay and we would come again!

We stayed for one night and could not have been happier with our stay. Reception was friendly and helpful, and unlike many other Scandinavian hotels, we had a queen-size bed, not too separate ones. Yes! Clean and comfortable rooms and probably the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen. Everything you could ever require from the best of Nordic tradition accompanied by a perfect, panoramic view of the garden and the trees. Wonderful place, can't wait to visit again.

It was just a place to sleep - Friendly staff but a bit Typical Provincial Danish hotel that could do with an upgrade.

This is a beautiful hotel throughout. Room was lovely as was the dining room and common areas. The staff were very helpful. We borrowed bicycles for a few hours and did some beautiful bicycling around the lakes. The breakfast was very high quality.

Hotel is in an elegant 19th century building which has the most delightful garden and superb dining. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hotel was very comfortable and ideal for a peaceful stay. It was a little far from the town and so had to use the car.
