Beautiful property....excellent location ...only downfall was no parking but that has nothing to do with property ....construction out front ...again not the fault of the property!! Breakfast was so nice ....beautiful presentation and staff was super nice !!!

We stayed 1 night of 3 nights here and wish we had done it all at Cale. While it doesn’t have huge extra amenities it is clean , rooms big, view incredible. Feels like home. Could not be more central. Everything is within a few minutes walk. The staff (thanks Chris and others) knock themselves out to make you feel at home. Breakfast is great and the welcome discussion and orientation at arrival over complimentary port is fantastic . When we come back we will stay here again.

This small guesthouse is a gem! Our twin double room had a large sitting area and was probably more than 400 sq ft. The communication before arrival was excellent. The breakfast was very good and they allowed us to check our luggage while we explored the city. I would stay there again.

Located in an excellent, central area. As similar reviews noted, it was fairly noisy when someone was walking past the bedroom door due to the wooden floorboards. Breakfast was a nice selection of pastries/ meats/ cheeses and hot drinks. Would stay again and recommend to family and friends

The staff was amazing, friendly, warm, and informational. They served a wonderful Portuguese breakfast with a variety of bread, cheeses, Pastries and meats. The hostess was very accommodating and warm

This is a gem 💎. The guest house location is great. The rooms are very large and so very comfortable. The hostess was amazing and so helpful with finding places. An award winning restaurant next door and other 20 steps away. I can’t say enough of how much we enjoyed our stay. Absolutely loved it 💖

Absolutely lovely.

I had a wonderful stay at Cale Guest House. The location is perfect—so accessible to many of Porto's top sightseeing spots, making it easy to explore the city. The view from my room was exceptional, and the rooftop area added an extra special touch for enjoying the night scenery. The house itself is old but beautiful, filled with character, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. A couple of small downsides were that there was no elevator, which might be challenging for those with heavy luggage, and no refrigerator in the room. However, these were minor inconveniences, and overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I'd highly recommend Cale Guest House to anyone looking to experience Porto’s charm!

Cale Guest House is a heritage property with many stairs. We knew this prior to staying, but still a lot of climbing. The amenities were simple, yet met our needs. The staff were great, the rooms tidy and clean and beds were absolutely the best. Breakfast was quite adequate and tasty. The location near the river was ideal for dining, but crazy busy for the end of September. We enjoyed our stay.

Cale guesthouse far exceeded our expectations. It is a nice cosy place in the heart of town. Easy access to everything. Chris at the front desk made us feel welcome and was very helpful in answering all our questions. I would love to go back.

All was great, lovely welcome when checking in. 1 mix up with a girl who wouldn’t let us get breakfast at 7.45 when we had arranged with the lady the day before as we were going on a trip. But lovely stay.

They made you feel welcome and were very accommodating and helpful. Good location. I’d stay there again.

The best hotels. Nice people.

The place is not close to the main areas, but it’s not bad with an Uber ride. There is no sign, but easily recognized due to it’s red brick exterior. Staff were AMAZING and helpful and the area out back was nice to sit in with a glass of local wine. The basic room is VERY small with no chairs. The bathroom is beautiful, but the shower is not functional due to its small size. You literally can’t wash yourself without opening the glass door. I understand that we paid for a basic room, but with the price, I would have expected something bigger. There is also no coffee pot or water in the room. The room has a small fridge that has water and a few drinks for 2 euros each. Overall, it’s a beautiful property and the staff are an asset.

Very friendly staff, nice hotel

Lovely place to stay and a great location in Porto. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We only had one minor issue with our A/C unit but it was quickly dealt with by the front desk staff. Would highly recommend.
