Very nice, quiet Riad located next to a safe commercial area. Not far from Jemaa El Fna square (aprox 10 minutes walking distance) and easy to find. A warm welcome from Abdou and Fatima, they were always ready to help and to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Abdou speaks english so no problem in communicating. The rooms are cozy, spacious (the 2 suites on the first floor are a bit bigger) with aircon and heating, and very very clean. Breakfast is OK. They offer dinner at the Riad and also can book excursions if you want. We arranged the pick up from the airport with them, it was perfect and they took us door to door. WIFI should improve, it works, but the signal is weak. Overall a good place to stay and I'd recommend it to family and friends.

Lovely oasis close to the big market square in the heart of the Medina! We were able to walk to most of the tourist spots. Given the location, was completely surprised how quiet it was inside the Riad. We had no issues getting there via taxi. Phillipe was a welcoming host, and the two ladies who work there are kind and take really good care of the guests. The room was romantic and comfortable. We had hot water and good wifi. Breakfast is light, continental fare. Only complaint is that access to the Riad is via ringing a bell to be let in. We returned late one evening to find no one there to answer the door. We had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to arrive to let us in after finding wifi and getting a hold of Phillipe via email. Also, there is no tv in the room; one is available in a common area room. Otherwise, very happy with our stay and recommend it for a quiet place to stay in the middle of everything in Marakech.

Lovely Riad close to all the central sites. Staff were very friendly, rooms were large and comfortable and the general air of the place was calm and relaxing.

The location is a very short walk to the main market centre. It’s a beautiful Riad, spacious room with everything you could need. The pool isn’t so much for swimming in (it was very cold!) but was perfect for sitting with our legs in after a hot day walking. We spent time on the roof terrace too, reading and sun bathing with privacy. The staff were so kind and helpful and made us early breakfast on the days we needed to be out. We tried both lunch and dinner and both were lovely home cooking. Gorgeous house cat too, very friendly! We would highly recommend this place and would stay here again if we come back to the wonderful country of Morocco.

Riad Mariana is a place of tranquillity after the constant hassle of the square. Easy to access all areas without getting too lost. Beds are very comfortable, air conditioning brilliant and roof terrace so peaceful. Was lovely to have a nice light breakfast on the roof each morning with bread, yoghurt, fresh orange juice and home made jam. Staff are great, you step out of your room and they appear as if by magic to see if you need anything. Fatima even walked along to the end of the street, insisting on carrying a bag, and waited with us till the taxi they had booked for us arrived. Highly recommended.

The area is not safe. I will not recommend walking at night especially for those who can not speak French or Arabic. Taxi driver had to stop 3 time to ask the locals for directions. Kids follow you at the street to the riad and ask you for money.

Lovely riad. Great rooms and roof terrace is real sun trap. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We booked a massage and hamman in the riad which was lovely and relaxing, and the lunch they cooked us was super tasty. Would definitely recommend Riad Mariana.

Aside from the authentic Moroccan atmosphere, the food was equally fantastic. The riad is located only a few minutes from Jema Dl Fna and Phillipe, the owner, will gladly assist you with directions, a ride, or any excursions you want to experience while in Morocco. Although wifi is available at most restaurants and hotels in the area, we found that the wifi at Riad Mariana was much more reliable. In Morocco, you learn not to take the little things for granted (a working, reliable toilet is a good example). Riad Mariana offers all the amentities of home while still maintaining the culture people come to the country to learn about with a great staff on top of it. We very much enjoyed our week at the Riad and hope to visit again soon.

Extremely friendly owner/operator. Had suggestions on getting places, being safe. He was looking out for my welfare. Room was large, powerful A/C. He gave me a key to the building so i could come in at any time. I left early for my departing flight and he slept on a coach where i would unavoidably wake him up - just so he could say goodbye. (I was already paid up.) Gave him the biggest tip for staying at any hotel in any of the 30 countries i've visited - about 50% of the room cost. Nice breakfasts. If I ever travel to Marrakech again, i will certainly stay there.

The amenities are great the bath to die for, will never be the same !!! Not to mention potpourri, for the staff nothing was too much trouble. Phillippe had us collected from the Railway station. It was a nice tranquil place following the chaotic medina.

From the moment we arrived, the administrator was focussed on collecting extra €50 for taxes. We thought It was way to much. He came down to €25. At the end of the stay, he found the way, to over charge anyway. We paid extra €50 plus 275 Dirhams.

This is a very nice place to stay. It is very clean and there are plenty of facilities available. I can't comment on quality of the facilities as we did not have the opportunity to use them as we had already made plans. The hotel itself has a very nice calm atmosphere, that was very welcome after the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Its near to most of the places in the old town but they can seem further when walking in the heat, however there is a tourist bus that stops not far from the hotel which will take you to most of the sites.

This is a great Riad not far from the hustle and bustle of Jemaa El Fna. It's a quiet oasis with a real family vibe. Breakfast was lovely and rooms light and clean. Abdou, Fatima and Tamou are fantastic - very friendly, helpful and make you feel right at home. Fatima cooks the best meals and dinner was a delight at the Riad. Each dish was freshly cooked with local incredients - definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The roof terrace was also a hit - it's lovely to come back to after a day of exploring. Beautiful flowers and plants adorn the roof terrace and it's a perfect area to eat as well as catch some rays of sunshine! A well-run place with a laid back and friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommended!

Having never experienced a Riad before I wasn't quite sure what to expect. They kindly arranged via email to collect us from the airport and on arrival we were treated to mint tea on the roof while we waited for our room to be prepared (we arrived before 11am). Our room on the ground floor was pleasant and beautifully furnished with local furniture and was very clean and well maintained. Fatima, the housekeeper, prepared us a wonderful lunch and the breakfast every day was equally delicious. Between her, the night manager Abdul and the rest of the staff we felt so welcome and they really looked after us. A special shout out to Mimi, the Riad cat, for being completely cute and hilarious for our whole trip. Also, the amazing view of the mountains from the roof is not to be missed. We will definitely visit again.
