My husband and I agree that, MARCO, the man taking care of the reception desk and meeting all of our needs made our stay the most amazing part of our month-long travels.

I would highly recommend Hotel Casa Linger for stays in Venice. The staff were warm, welcoming & polite. The room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely be booking a stay with them again.

Great location for the Venice Biennale and 4m to a vaporetto. Biggest downside is it was not clear it is a shared bathroom, it is a busted three bedroom apartment that is not dirty but cluttered like a frat house. There was no mirror and one hanger in the closet. But the staff were friendly, reachable and again, the location is perfect. The bedrooms were also very different, some tiny some large for the same cost.

It was what i expected for last-minute booking for Venice. Old building, steep stairs, good character, nice staff. Good breakfast at small cafe across the street. Very convenient little store next door for groceries. Stay away from the ATM next door that fraudulently tried to take money from my accounts.

We booked this hotel as we were on a budget, however it was not a hotel, more a hostel. If you want a budget room to lay your head this is it. If you are not wanting a clean, comfortable and welcoming space to spend time in please avoid this accommodation. Likewise, if you have any mobility issues this is not for you. No lift and very step stairs. The rooms are very, very small as are the bathrooms. The shower was so small you could not bend and pick shampoo from the floor without knocking yourself out. Water was hot and plentiful but took around 5 minutes to come through. The hotel was very old so I understand it would be impossible to keep it pristine however the carpets were sticky and the table top oscillating fan thick with dust. There was a smell of foist in the air. We literally spent 8 hours or so there sleeping so it suited it’s purpose. Very close to st marks square and the water to and from train station. We did laugh about the worst accommodation we had ever stayed on and loved to tell the tell but if you have anything other than low standards stay elsewhere. For reference we paid over £100 per night.

Bathroom was clean and i was given a bottle of water i guess he saw me having an asthma attack to get upstairs. There was a smell of rust i could not sleep because of it. The carpet needs cleaned. The hike to get upstairs with bags omg i though i would die. This is the worse hotel italy. What is that smell? I covered the drains and still such stench. I have videos i will upload

Great location, very cute! Incredibly helpful staff texted us to reconfirm our arrival time after we had a delayed flight and gave us great directions about how to get to the hotel from the airport. The stairs up to the room provided an excellent workout that balanced out all the deep fried food we ate. Only downside: mosquitoes. We got absolutely eaten alive during our stay, but honestly Venice was totally worth it!

Yes, you've got to climb many stairs to get to the room, but that just helps to work off all the pasta, pastries and pizza! Great location! Nice staff. Sadly no kitchen, but they did provide a hot water kettle AND a hair dryer! Hope to stay here again. Maybe the name is because once you're upstairs you get too lazy to leave, not wanting to walk up & down all those stairs, so you tend to 'Linger' hehe!

Really near to San Marco Square. It’s in a main big street in Castello, a neighbourhood that’s near San Marco Square, with many good restaurants around+ locals living there, which makes you meet locals if you try to approach and talk to them The room is spacious, mine with two other guests sharing with me. BUT the problem I had is - The room is not air-conditioned, so we had to turn on the fan. Unfortunately, the fan also blew in the direction that didn’t reach me, so I finally changed to another bed to feel the wind. Nonetheless, it’s still hot and stuffy. Mind you, Italy is really hot in summer. Another problem is that there’s no lift, so you’ll have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Be careful if you have huge luggage. Overall, it’s quite worth the price, considering how near it is to the very centre of Venice.

Arrived late and still I was able to check in. The room is great however it seems like they don’t wash the blankets. The hotel owner was nice though.

This property is a family-run business on par with a small-town motel in the States. So, the carpet is worn thin, there's a lot of rambling corridors and quirks, but the staff is extremely nice and if you need anything all you have to do is ask them. Paolo and his wife Jacqueline are super sweet people that even gave the guests traditional cake for New Year's. I really had a delightful and memorable time here. I stayed in the winter, in the five-bedroom room. You can book it as single-gender but the owner moves people around to keep the place full, so it became co-ed. Bit of a bummer, but he did at least try to keep reputable people in there together. (He mentioned that if anyone ever seemed disruptive or drunkenly, that he put them by themselves, which I appreciated.) Each room is unique, with big wooden ceiling beams. The upstairs space was clean and there's a full kitchen, small eating space, and shared bathroom. It's a true taste of Venice, and the location is really good too--it's a neighborhood where real people live, close to the water bus and various museums. The waterfront has all the tourist shops you could need, without the crowd. There's groceries within five or ten minutes walking. There isn't a desk in the five-person room, so just be aware of that. While the A/C was running, the air was fine, but if it got too warm, it smelled a bit moldy/musty. Probably inescapable in Venice, but I ended up okay even with my allergies, which are pretty sensitive. Hurray.

Lights in the meal area went off every 15 seconds(on a sensor). Very steep stairs. Needed a clean.

Location was great, just enough away from the chaos of St Marks Square but close enough to the huddle and bussle when you wanted it. The nearby cafe and piazza are lovely. The hotel is dated though and reception being on the second floor means a lot of steep stairs; fortunately there were handrails or my mother would have struggled. Carrying bags up them certainly wasn’t easy. Staff were friendly, but no room clean between the two nights we stayed there.

Casa Linger offers a great historic area (with wifi in house and across the street's great coffee shops!). The one single room with double bed has high ceiling and one big window and is quiet. If you are lucky get that room!

Very good location. You get what you pay basically so overall I can't complain. Staff could be nicer though. Recommended for a night or two.

48+ steps to go up, no elevator. Old bed spread and curtains. Very old carpet. You’ve got to share bathroom with other rooms. Shower was too small to move around. no napkin. The bed sheet were clean though. Paul was very nice. He was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed six nights in the five-bedroom hostel type of room. Right outside the room there is a new, very clean kitchen with sitting area, very convenient for eventual breakfast etc. Personnel very friendly. Only minor point is the climb up the many stairs with a suitcase, but personnel was helpful (and in older buildings in Venice, climbing stairs is part of daily living !). Very well situated not far from Riva degli Schiavoni (vaporetto stop Arsenale) and next to Campo Bandiera e Moro, a lovely place to see real Venetians sit at night and watch their kids playing football etc. Many small shops, restaurants and bars/coffeeshops in the neighborhood. Will definitely return there when visiting Venice

Nice location close to square. But there were so many mosquitoes in a room. For late check-in after 10pm, I needed to pay 10 euro more for each hour.
