We stayed here for the weekend and were intrigued by the bold “newly renovated” sign out front. After checking in, it became clear the renovation theme was classic 1970s, highlighted by burnt orange carpet — including a permanent stain in our room that appeared to be part of the décor.
The room itself was spacious, which was nice, although the advertised queen bed barely accommodated two adults unless personal space isn’t a priority.
The elevator was an experience of its own, stopping so abruptly it has a warning sign posted. Be sure to bend your knees accordingly 😬
To round things out, the toilet bubbled on multiple occasions, releasing an unmistakable sewer smell into the room.
At over $170 a night, we expected a bit more and were left pretty disappointed. We won’t be staying here again the next time we’re in town.
