Lovely overnight stay in Falmouth. Hotel is situated on the sea front with gorgeous views of the bay and within easy walking distance of the shops n restaurants in the town. Having booked an inland double room we found upon arrival we had been upgraded to a sea view suite which was like our own apartment with seperate living room, bathroom with jacuzzi bath and an enormous bedroom with king sized bed and ornate furnishings. We booked an early evening meal with view of the sea. Both our evening meal and breakfast were lovely. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you check out the hotel deals.

The mattress on the bed was saggy and lumpy. The pillow from Asda was old. Both should have been thrown out a long time ago. There was also an issue which we have agreed not to go into on line but people with health related problems should not be in that room. We were overcharged in the restaurant-we did not eat in the hotel after that.

Good location for accessing Falmouth. Great views from the bar and dining area. Service was a bit slow and a bit hit and miss. Our room didn't get made up on the last day of our stay.

Another great stay in the Falmouth Hotel. The new owners have upgraded the lounge and bar - it is so comfortable and the best place to have a drink overlooking the sea. The breakfast was good quality too - cooked to order with lots of choice. We love this hotel and seeing it restored to its former glory is a real treat

We arrived at the hotel late evening. Check in was easy, "Oh yes, double room, inland view, breakfast included, room 115", all very efficient. Up to our room, very clean and tidy, dumped the bags and back down to the lounge bar to relax after our 400 mile drive. 10 minutes later a call from reception, was our room ok? Yes, what we'd seen was ok., thank you. On returning to the room we realised that you had to slide sideways to get between the bed and wall to get into the bed from the other side, ducking under the TV shelf on the way. Opening the curtains in the morning to see that the 'Inland view' was a large frosted/opaque window that you couldn't see through at all, poetic licence in the extreme. However, the hotel is very quiet and very comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and the beach is only over the road. The room was very clean with an ample supply of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The staff were all excellent, including the receptionist with the sense of humour. Breakfast was great. We would definitely stay here again, but not in room 115 with the bed shoehorned in. Thank you very much for our stay.

Needed to just relax for a few days and was able to at The Falmouth Hotel. Everyone looked after me so well. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Room was just right. Loved the feel of the place and it’s History. I will be staying here again and again.

The Falmouth Hotel is a lovely place to stay, a hotel with character and charm. They have done a wonderful job of preserving the history of the building with modern updates to keep it comfortable. The spa was lovely and every meal I had at the restaurant was excellent. Wonderful value for money, and the view is incredible. I hope I get the chance to go back!

The property stunk of paint. We were not told they were having renovations we had a sea view room which the window was covered in scaffolding the paint fumes made me very poorly throughout the night so we had to check out early and go home

Love this hotel, have stayed there on a number of occasions. Not such a good visit due to the work being carried out. In the long term it will be excellent.

Hotel was tired and going through renovation. Missing window pane on outer glazing in room, half of car park fenced off for works. Staff were impeccable however and very keen to look after their customers

We have stayed at The Falmouth a number of times over the past 20 years, through a least 3 different management regimes, overall this was the best yet. Service was good, staff very efficient, parking OK. However a couple of things let it down, the bedroom is secondary glazed, one complete pane of glass was completely missing from an outer window, no explanation given and if not repaired it could have been boarded over. The bathroom had no blind just a flimsy net curtain that did not even cover the window.

You can tell there are grand plans for this fabulous hotel. So glad it is being preserved as a hotel. We love staying here and since the takeover it is much improved. Staff deserve a special mention as they all went out of their way to help us have a great stay. We will definitely be back!
