The people at the front desk do not speak much English and so there were some challenges with understanding one another. I had booked the room through the internet and when I arrived they showed me 2 rooms - one small and one large and asked which one I wanted. Naturally I chose the larger one, but then was told I had to pay more. So they seemed to be up-selling any room that was not reserved. In the end I took the smaller room, which was what I had paid for. The size was about 6'X9' - there was a comfortable bed, a small desk, no closet, and a small bathroom with shower stall. This room would not be large enough for 2 people - as you would have no place to put 2 suitcases and would not be able to walk around one another. Right across the laneway there was an access to the boardwalk that goes all along the water; it was wonderful to walk along the water any time of day. It is a 10 minute walk to May 1 square on the boardwalk, and about a 25 minute walk to the marina and mall that was created during the Olympics in 2008. There is some food provided for breakfast, but you have to pay extra for it, and so it is easier to purchase something from a coffee shop 10 minutes away.
