Really friendly and accommodating. Decent breakfast right on time, good value room.

Great pub/hotel and the family room we booked was very spacious, tea and coffee available in room with biscuits and bottled water in a fridge. wifi had good signal and easy to connect to although no usb points in the room. Plenty of sockets though including by the beds. Shower was powerful and hot and tubes of soap/shampoo also supplied. Staff very friendly and accommodating, remembered our drinks for breakfast and allergies for dinner. The breakfast buffet was good with a selection of hot food, which was actually hot on a buffet, a rare find. Only recommendation would be to provide more pastries, not just pain au choc. Food in restaurant was excellent and the price was good value too, portions a nice size and presented well, shame last orders were 830pm though. Pub had a pool table, pinball machine and some other games as well. Large, free car park which was a bonus. We were in the area for a wedding and this was a prefect stop over. Highly recommend if in the location.

Our room was very clean and comfy. The bar was very friendly and met some nice people. Very dog friendly. Martin was very kind and helpful, one of the best. I would diffinately stay here again

Martin was a great host great sleep and breakfast

I don't do reviews. Well....apart from this one that is. I arrived to find the place locked up and a notice saying "opening soon" and it wasn't kidding. It turned out that it was literally opening that day and the next morning (after a good nights sleep) I found that the place had been transformed by Martin and his wife working all night until 4.30 am, bless them. And the hotel? Ah yes - plenty of free parking, quiet rooms, a great breakfast, very convenient for Keele University and ideal for stopping off the M6 between Manchester and Birmingham. I wish Martin & co all the best in their venture and, like General MacArthur, I shall return.
