This hotel is in a beautiful area along a river outside of Malung, but the rooms are small and not particularly comfortable. It is a rustic property rather than a comfortable hotel. On the other hand, if one is looking for an adequate place to stay for a couple days at a very reasonable price, then this could be the right place. We hosted a dinner for 9 relatives in the dining room while staying here, and we were very happy with the food. Service is slow because there is limited staff, but we just wanted to spend time together so that was not a problem. For the quality of the food, the price was very reasonable. Breakfast is served in the same dining area, which includes a choice of indoor and outdoor seating, and it was fine. We asked about doing laundry while we were there, and one of the staff members did laundry for us for a reasonable charge.

Ni charging possibility for the car

Lovely location by the river, Sunday and the restaurant was closed due to day off. The Dutch couple operating the place said no problem, we’ll do our best. And they sure did, great dinner, variety of dishes and NICE. Further guests arrived after us and I’m not surprised if we were up to 20 from various couples visiting that had a great dinner. Kudos!!!! Nice (short) stay. I emailed the staff that I would arrive late and depart early. They had prepared breakfast for me and left for me in the refrigerator so I could have breakfast upon my departure. I found that to be a nice gesture.

A beautiful place and we had a wounderful Christmas stay with the family at this local places in a fantastic winder setting.

lugn och skön

Trevligt bemötande, vackert och lugnt läge! Tyvärr serverades det ingen lunch eller middag, pga att det inte fanns någon kock men frukosten var bra inget att klaga på, rummet var stort ljust och fint med balkong, och med sköna sängar! Så på det stora hela var vår vistelse på Lugnet bra, och Lugnet var ett passande namn, för lugnt och rogivande var vår vistelse där. MVH Margaretha o Björn Granath

En sommardag och väldigt varmt på rummet.

Väldigt vacker omgivning, ganska ny tillträd ägare som arbetar hårt. Frukost helt ok. Tyvärr är inte resturang öppen men vi var inne i Malung och köpte med take a way åt den på altanen, vi fick låna porslin och och bestick från restaurang och hade en angenäm bröllopsdag. Jätte bekväma sängar på rummet. Värden talar inte mycket svenska ännu såskriv förfrågningar på engelska,

Dette har vært et fint hotell i sin tid, men virker i dag litt slitent. Kun observert en ansatt som gjør sitt beste, men det er ingen restaurant eller bar eller noe på stedet. Kun en enkel frokost. Beliggenheten ved elven er nydelig, men isolert. Funker greit for en overnatting, men det er også det.

Jättehärlig plats, vi är fem i familjen och fick ett stort och härligt familjerum. Genuin miljö som verkligen är en upplevelse i sig. En upplevelse granne med Dalälven.
