Check-in staff are excellent. However, it was really hot in the room and they turn the air-com off at the end of august so sleep was difficult. This was further disturbed by the MASSIVE noise and bass music to about 3am (not the hotel's fault, but added to the horrible night's sleep over friday and saturday night). There are no glasses for water - just wine glasses, which are not practical for a bedside table. You have to refill water from the corridor - no complimentary bottle when you arrive. For room service it's opt-in, which is environmental - but if you forget in the morning, no clean towels for you. The spa reception staff (except the masseurs and Alina and Lina who were all great) were argumentative and surly. They force you to book on the internet even when you tell them "it doesn't work" (their response is: :"it must"). Then they don't get back to you at all, then you have to do downstairs and book in in person in the first place - which defeats the 'relaxing' element of a spa.

Inside Old Town, access to museums, shops, restaurants, and parks were easy.

my door handle was hanging off every time i closed to the door bottom door trim fell off beds were uncomfortable aircon made no difference to temperature in room overall everything felt very cheap not what id expect from a hotel with this star rating

Excellent hotel in convenient central location in heart of the old town, making it perfect to use as a base from which to explore Riga. Hotel staff on reception were super professional and friendly. I sent a request prior to arrival asking if I could be allocated a quiet room (being a light sleeper and worried about noise from bars and stag parties!) and was given a perfect choice tucked away at end of corridor facing courtyard. Room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was incredible - huge choice of options, hot and cold. Spa was closed for maintenance (was informed of this in advance by email) and was offered alternative facilities at sister hotel five mins away. Amazing, loved it here and would 100% stay here again. Thank you!

Our room (606) was very spacious but there was a marked noise of air conditioning or something else that neither us nor the reception could deal with.

Conveniently located but our room faced the street and was very noisy at night ( upto 3am on a Tuesday morning) the rooms do have air conditioning but it wasn't operational in May .3 Reception told us twice that they would turn it on but didn't. The noise outside from the street meant we had to keep the window closed which led to an uncomfortable nights sleep

That was on perfect location

The hotel & spa is situated on the edge of the Old Town.  Perfect for sightseeing.  I walked everywhere.  There are bars, restaurants and shopping located right on your doorstep.  Rooms were small and very hot despite it being cold outside.  The room included complimentary toiletries, an iron, a hairdryer, hot water and more.  There is a mini bar in the room too.  WIFI worked well.  The hotel was clean.  I didn't include breakfast nor use the spa.  My difference between a 4 and 5 star was that housekeeping was really badly done.  My bed was not made.  Clean towels were simply thrown in the bathroom.  The room was not tidied and none of the complimentary toiletries I had used were replaced.  The other reason were the mainly unfriendly staff.  Some were very nice and friendly, especially the male staff members.  I found the female staff members at reception to be unfriendly and cold.  Not one smile.  Otherwise, I was happy with my stay and the hotel is a good choice for a city break in Riga.

Nice property with compact bedrooms. Lovely and clean. Good breakfast. Easy to get to from main transport links to the airport. Lots of good resturants and bars a stones throw away.
