It is a rustic lodge, which means no A/C or hot water. I wasn’t prepared for that, but the views from the decks were beautiful. Don’t leave the deck door open though unless you like night-crawling guests. If that’s your vibe, you will probably love it. I wasn’t prepared for the amount of mountain steps to the resort and rooms either. If you are in fair health, they probably won’t be a problem, but fair warning, I have a bad knee which was quite inflamed by the end of my stay, and no ice on sight. The location is good, being on the far east end and away from the crowds. It is a bit of a hike to the beach and happenings, but I felt it was worth it. Also, if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The long-tail boats start revving up around 5 AM and continue well into the night. They can be heard over the entire island. Tried to give the full picture. Hope it helps with your decisions.
