A lovely place to stay and friendly staff. Breakfast excellent. Last year we had an ok breakfast and were unsure whether to eat there this year. Glad we did. Cleaning staff lovely and friendly.

Duvet in room was way too thick for summer which made sleep difficult as did the security light in the room which never went off, walls too thin meaning you could hear goings on in rooms down the corridor. Offering ear plugs would be a good idea. Breakfast was quite small for a full English, would have been nice to be able to choose what you wanted rather than just a set menu. Staff on the whole were very good, nice hotel well maintained

Good helpful service, clean rooms, nice bar. Location great for motorways. Excellent Italian restaurant next door, fantastic food (DaSandro), plus walking distance to several other bars & restaurants.

This hotel is fine for a night while travelling but the best thing about it is its proximity to the Italian restaurant. The food was superb and service excellent. I arrived unbooked at this very large restaurant on a Tuesday night and it was heaving. I waited a short time for a table and was then seated comfortably. The food was delicious and the charming owner complimented my choice. I don’t often go in that area but will certainly go there again if I do.

Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Plenty of free parking on site. The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent. Options for breakfast were plentiful. Would definitely stay there again.

We regularly stay at this hotel when visiting Huddersfield. It is our favourite hotel in the area . The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room is always beautifully clean. The served hot breakfast is fantastic and freshly cooked as opposed to a buffet style. The hotel has a warm and friendly feel and we highly recommend it. A big thank you to all members of staff - you are what makes this hotel so special.

Excellent hotel, excellent room, excellent staff. Couldn't have asked for more. Only (very minor) negative was no scrambled egg option on an otherwise top-notch breakfast, but that's just me. Would definitely stay again.

Staff were great. Hotel dated and tired. Breakfast was great.

All night reception was brilliant as I booked to stay after a wedding and hadn’t checked in before hand. Bed clean and comfortable, bathroom had everything needed and there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The only thing that let it down was at breakfast we missed out on being offered toast and I didn’t get chance to ask for decaf tea when I was brought normal tea. Otherwise, absolutely lovely and it accommodated lots of the wedding party.

Absolutely gorgeous breakfast served by an attentive team as you woukd like it, super clean in all areas, staff very happy in Thier work 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Continental breakfast was good and staff were very helpful. The rooms are a bit outdated, stayed in a double room on the ground floor. And they do need to dust the furniture in the room. Bathroom was modern looking and clean like it had a refurbishment. Staying on the ground floor was a bit noisy at times with doors closing etc and hearing the bar and staff entrance door opening and closing. Overall good values for money and nice to have Co-op and Tesco nearby. Plus the Italian restaurant right next door was a lovely place for an evening meal.

Suited our purposes perfectly

We had a pleasant stay at The Briar Court Hotel. Location was good, close to the motorway and Huddersfield. Breakfast was good with some gluten free options. Staff were very helpful. We had a dog friendly room, but there was a large stain on the carpet.
