The property itself is okay, satisfactory. Unfortunately the surrounding area has social issues which spill out on to the street.

I am not a finicky person, as long as there is a comfy bed and coffee in the room when I get up I normally and happy. This did not have that! It is located close to a homeless shelter, in a poorer place of Toronto. Not a safe place to be going for a walk alone at night. They do have several cameras and the front door is locked at night. The parking available is just an area between the curb and building big enough for only two people to parallel park. So if there are more than two people with a car staying there, you are out of luck. Although the staff were polite, the building is not wheelchair accessible. There is no elevator. The building itself is dark, dirty and looks like it was painted by a three year old. The complimentary refreshment room is a converted closet. The public washroom requires a code to get in to. The room was fair, only one bedside table. A small tv mounted up at the ceiling. A small glass table with paint splatter covering it. The bathroom was filthy. No tub. You would literally have to stand in the shower stall to close the door if you were a heavier person. The a/c was a window shakers that could not keep up with the heat, so the room was warm. The bed was comfortable and clean. That about it for positives. There was no one at the counter when we went to check out. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to finally appear. We were told it would take a few days to have the deposit refunded. We couldn't leave fast enough

For the price? Great deal and great stay! I stayed there for one night cause ai came from out of town and wanted to catch a concert. It did exactly what is needed to. Facilities were clean, smelled good, had working a/c and free wifi and the room was a but compact, but I really didn't need anything bigger. I had zero issues with booking or checking out. My security deposit was returned when they said it would be. And while the street is close to moss park. Unless you are walking through there to get to the hotel from downtown, most of the locals were from south cabbage town or commuters. I didn't have any trouble with 'sketchy' people. Only thing is they don't serve breakfast as advertised. But if I was catching another concert I would definitely stay again.

Do not stay here! If you do stay here, do not bring your car. This area is extremely unsafe. I asked someone who lived in the area, and they recommended not parking a vehicle or walking after 8pm. There is high risk for car damage, and I didn't end up staying because I didn't feel safe in the building or on the street.

room was dirty, hair in the bed, filthy floors, stained pillow, stained window shade, dirty toilet. When told about the bed having used sheets, was met with “how is that possible?”. Everything was stained, chipped, or dirty.

Do not waste your money here. This place is ghetto!

The room is perfect and I love the view of downtown Toronto behind the bed (a mural). There are two of us and the room is comfortable a little small but adequate. Tim Hortons is a few blocks away and is great for breakfast. Also the streetcar stop is right out the front door. We had to park at public garage a few blocks away but it was easy.

Nice place

Such a nice place. I like it.

The stay was comfortable, the staff was very helpful and welcoming. I booked this place since it was the closest to my destination of work. The place is nice but the area where it’s located, is too shady. A lot of addicts on the neighbouring streets. The nearest convenience store is like 5 to 10 mins walk and you don’t wanna do that walk in the evening. Not to mention a hobo was sleeping at the entrance next morning. My room was at the one side of the building, and there was a bus/train stop, so I was able to hear the train every time it stopped and passed. The worst to me was that the TV was having dish channels. Not my favourite, I do not think anybody would like that since limited and time bound shows. There should be smart TV not even able to screen mirror them. The room had everything (microwave, fridge, tv, towel and toiletries) but no dustbins, so I had to go downstairs to dump the trash. The disposable glasses were served but no water. There was one dispenser at the reception so again had to go downstairs. Coffee and tea was served round the clock (self service).

I wasted so much time contacting customer service and still received no proper solution. I felt ignored and passed around instead of being treated like a paying customer. This is completely unacceptable for a company this large. I will think twice before ever booking with Expedia again, and I would strongly warn others to be very careful. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

Clean bed and bathroom. Once you’re inside the hotel it is fine, but the neighborhood is terrible. There drug distribution center close by. Don’t expect to walk around to explore. Take your uber and go. Place is ok for a short stay. I wasn’t expecting much and they delivered what you pay for. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is close to downtown core. Just reasonable price in the crazy hotel market of Toronto. I would stay again if needed.

This room looked clean at start but retuned late to go to sleep and could not due roaches crawling on the bed and mattress, I went to shower and roaches crawled on the towels and bath mat could not shower I took about 10 photos and videos and was provided no refund or alternate room. I was 1st told I would get a full refund and that never happened they infact refused to compensate me in any way for this disgusting stay which I could not sleep or shower the staff don’t care to resolve

The room was very quiet and clean, with a mini fridge that was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was helpful throughout my stay. One thing to plan ahead for: there are only 2 parking spots available (for a fee), so make sure to book your spot as soon as you book your room. The bathroom was nice too, but the sink was quite small — there's a shelf above it for your toothbrush and other items, but the sink itself is so tight that it's hard to wash your face without water splashing onto the floor. The location isn't the best, but for the price, the hotel offers great value.

Very clean and decent

The room was so small. As a muscular person with broad shoulders, I had a difficult time maneuvering inside the small bathroom. The sink area was so small I could not fit in the space. The place is located in a homeless area and it felt scary at times walking to and from and even during the night. There is not elevator in the building so front end staff had to help me carry my big luggage to my room on the 3rd floor. The mini AC unit in the room made so much noise during the night I found it difficult to fall and stay asleep.

Staff wasn’t very helpful when I brought to his attention that the bathroom was falling apart, molded wood, shower dangling, floor board detached, screws exposed… incomplete shower tiling and that’s just the bathroom…

Unfortunately the only positive was the check in staff was very friendly and assuring the area was safe and the bed was comfortable. We were grateful when we arrived as the walk there was very uncomfortable (drugs/homeless). The hotel and room is very old and run down, very minimal. Spend the extra couple hundred to be closer to the main DT attractions.

We took the suite which was a basement room below the level of the road. This did mean that the traffic noise was minimal. The beds were comfortable. There was a kitchen included which was not well maintained. No cups, no spoons, just a kettle, microwave, fridge and freezer and a stove. The bathroom was miniscule. No attention to maintenance (toilet seat not fixed, plug in basin not working). This hotel really is on one of the worst streets in the city - not a nice place to be or to wander round. For what we paid it was a let down. Would definitely not stay again.
